Being a logical, free-thinking person, Id like to think that if I were supplied with evidence proving the existence of God without a doubt, I would HAVE TO accept it. Why would I continue to deny something that has been proven? Are you lumping me with Christians, who refuse to beleive anything, even when it is proven?????

If there's proof, then sure I'd admit it. But pretty much everything can be explained as simply a being with higher technology rather than a god. If its a god, then the god would have to do something really spectacular for me to believe it.

How could we deny something we know exists? That's like denying the moon is visible at night.

However, it doesn't appear that solid, irrefutable evidence that a supernatural deity exists will ever arise and so I have nothing to admit.

I'm sure there would always be a group of disgruntled theists who are mad because God didn't get them the red mustang for their birthday but got them the green one. Most atheists just accept what the evidence shows and if the evidence showed God they would accept it.

atheists don't believe in a god just out of pride, they believe something as what makes most sense to them, so if there was undeniable proof for the existence of god, logical conclusion, there is one, why do people assume MOST atheists are not open?

Since you are saying "even if there were a god" then that means that you are an athiest. So you should be able to answer your own question.

There used to be a god. My cat ate it last week.

He'd have to beat me in a sparring match for me to admit it.

(...not that He'd have a chance. I'm the god-damn Juggernaut, b****!!! Oh motherf***in' yeah!!!)

Given sufficient OBJECTIVE, VERIFIABLE evidence, I am prepared to believe anything.

Just because you don't believe in something does that make it not exist?
