I'm interested in hearing anyone's opinion. Personally, I think that it does well to form a bond between people and create a moral structure for society, but I think it harms in that it creates conflict among different groups, and is also used as a tool to restrain people, and keep followers from thinking for themselves. I also think it may provide false information, based on what people believe - death, the meaning of life, the creation of the earth, et al. I'm interested in hearing all opinions, so I can better sculpt my own. Thanks.

Moses and God warned people to build a boat because it was going to flood. But the people just laughed at moses. They said it was just a little bit of rain as would soon be over.

But the rain became a storm and the unbelievers of the world drowned. Is the same thing going to happen and how many people is God going to kill this time?

Do you judge the fruit of peoples lives? Do you discern spirits? Should you?

This is not a jab at muslims, but rather at the extremist muslims who believe they will be rewarded with 72 virgins if they blow up non-muslims. Could it be that these 72 virgins are actually llamas who have not yet "fooled around"? Will they be "surprised" when their 72 virgins aren't what they think? Yikes!

Liberals are always trying to push their atheist agendas at our Public School systems. Why do they want to brain wash our children into believing such hokus pokus? Shouldn't the public schools be providing the younguns with a good, solid, Christian Education?

I will research this myself later, but I would like some answers from other people about the MAJOR differences in beliefs. I know that Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet not the son of God.

Genetic change occurs in species over time- that is all evolution is defined as. That is the FACT of biological evolution and it isn't a matter of conjecture. The mechanisms involved are subject to conjecture-that is the THEORY of evolution. I wonder why creationists have such difficulty grasping the distinction? Evolution occurs- it isn't "just a theory" but as much of a proven fact as anything in science ever can be.

It would appear that every time a question comes up regarding the possibility of a relationship between the two,a number of christians answer that it could not have happened because there is no proof.
They are quite convinced of the existence of god yet there is no proof of that either.
Anybody else think that double standards apply here?

say joe is about to stab gary, can gary pray to god to prevent joe from stabbing him without taking away joe's free-will.

keep in mind that the existance of evil is attributed/blamed to/on the fact that we have free-will, so dont say that god can take away joe's free-will because he is evil.

Ok, so I understand that the reasoning behind banning Mark Twain books is because they use the N word and people say it isn't in touch with time anymore, but if that is their main argument shouldn't the Bible be banned since it really isn't in touch with time anymore?

Is Satan at fault for my seminal backage? Seriously, it's been 4 months since I've seen a naked woman in person. Will Jesus forgive me for not going forth and preaching my "good word?"

If he was human, hed have human desires and that would mean that he wasnt God.

If he was %100 human that would mean that like any other human, he could not be resurrected twice, but only once during Judgement Day.

How do you reconcile this teaching in your mind? Does your common sense not interfere at all?

Am just really boggled by this belief. And I need answers.

I am 6 months pregnant and expecting a baby boy. I am so happy and excited. Yet I am sad because my dad killed himself 10 years ago and he always wanted a son. We are a family of all girls. We know he visits us here and we recorded his voice and we see him around. My mom took us to a psychic and we were assured that he did make it over but he just comes around to visit and check on us. I was thinking of talking to him through a ouija board that I could take down to the basement where he killed himself. What are the odds that he will come back as my baby????I am really excited to entertain that thought. I saw Sylvia Browne on Montel Williams and she told one woman that the baby boy she was carrying was actually her dead father. Sylvia looked at the ultrasound. I wanted to see Sylvia myself, but it is 750.00 for a half hour. I thought I could show her the ultrasound. I want my dad to have the peace that he never had in his last life of torment. Imagine it??

And does it mean, roughly tranlsated: "Why you dirty double-crosser"?

Is this cause he expected to be saved, and somebody dropped the ball? So far I've heard only three explanations on this.

Replies from Biblican scholars appreciated.

regarding Evolution and the Big Bang, while you don't find fault with the same science serving you in the shape of medicine, telecommunication and travel?

Why dont you mistrust and question the weather report?

Your pills?

Your GPS locator?

Your NutraSweet?

It's funny how you bash "science" when it counters your beliefs, but not when it serves a purpose.

I wonder if you do the same with "sin" and with "heresy"
