- Yes, you can prove a negative! If you have a sufficient definition to work with! -

I don't know what sort of god you are speaking of, therefore I cannot prove that it does not exist. If you define your god, I might be able to prove that such a god cannot exist.
For example, if you define your god as "omnipotent", I can easily prove that your god does not exist, since omnipotence is an absurd and paradox concept (can a god create an unsolvable task?).
If you define your god as "omniscient", I would refer to Heisenbergs uncertainty principle which proves that omniscience is an impossible concept too.
And so on. But of course, if you say that your god is a speaking frog with a red hat on, I cannot disprove it. So please state what god you wish to be disproved.

You are making assumptions on faulty facts. For example, if you were correct then the more believers in a population would mean that the general health of that nation would be better than more secular nations. France a secular nation with a generally irreligious population has the most effective health service in the world. The USA, the most religious nation in the western world, has the 37th effective health care in the world, (look it up, stats by the OECD). Despite all of those prayers the irreligious French will live longer, will live longer without illness, will have less mental health issues, fewer divorces, less crime, have lower infant mortality, fewer drug problems, fewer abortions. My opinion is that you do not really know what logic is and that you should fully research a subject, getting all the facts, globally not just locally, before you go off half ******. Edit: well church attendances is a hallmark of being an active Christian and France it is 12% in the USA it is 43%. Surely you are not claiming that France is a more Christian country than the USA.

The reason you are answered with, "Prove there is a god," is because the burden of proof is on the believer.

You cannot prove a negative. While we can prove that certain gods do not exist, we cannot prove that no god exists. There is no reason to believe that one does exist, however, because there is no evidence of any such being.

If you were to say that we were created by a Purple Cow wearing Gucci shoes, and that the Cow is now flying about Jupiter, why should we have to prove there is no such thing? You would be the one making the claim, and it would therefore be on you to prove it.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

It is not possible to prove that there is no god. Nor is it possible to prove that there is one. It is, however, possible to prove that no theory of god can have any effect, or be of any value, in the real world. I checked out the cited web page, it offered nothing in the way of real evidence for the existence of god, but was mostly an erroneous apologia for the Qur'an. Since the Qur'an has errors, the notion that it could be the word of god is silly.

Your link does nothing to 'prove' there is a God. It also does nothing to 'prove' that there was Muhammad, a 'prophet of God'.

You know, Jesus came before Muhammad, I guess you could say Muhammad was one of the earliest, most famous Anti-Christian personalities.

On another note - to say the Islam is not an Anti-Christian religion is totally bogus - seeing as how Islam teaches the Jesus was not the Christ.

It is a logical impossibility to prove something does not exist. The burden of proof is always on the person making an assertion or proposition. Shifting the burden of proof, a special case of argumentum ad ignorantium, is the fallacy of putting the burden of proof on the person who denies or questions the assertion being made. The source of the fallacy is the assumption that something is true unless proven otherwise.

You have to grasp the basics of philosophy- disbelief in any proposition requires no proof and the onus is on the believer to come up with the evidence for God. I believe in a celestial teapot revolving around a distant planet- can you prove I'm wrong?

That's not how dialog works. The burden of proof is on the one making the claim.

You have to show evidence that god exists for atheists to refute it. Evidence "not" is not a part of any real dialog.

[I'm just trying to push you towards being fair. I am not an atheist or a Christian/Jew/Muslim, so I'm taking the neutral ground, here. I support neither the idea that there is no god nor that there is one, I just support honest dialog.]

Sorry, you can't prove a negative. The burden of proof falls on the believer, not the non-believer. My answer is not orginal just as your question is not original. I'm sure that when you asked it, similar questions popped up.

Im an agnostic atheist. I claim to be agnostic because I know I cant disprove God with real evidence. I know believers cant prove God exists as well. I consider myself an atheist because I base my reality on non meta-physics. I dont believe in ghosts, vampires, aliens, and demons etc. Just like God, non of these examples can be disproven but obviously you know its fake. Thats how I somewhat feel about God. You could believe in abstract ideologies that cant be proven nor disproven but I shall not believe in any superstitions because I want to be as real as I possibly can be without lying to myself.
