I will research this myself later, but I would like some answers from other people about the MAJOR differences in beliefs. I know that Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet not the son of God.

so much hatred going on here in people's answers.
i know you're looking for a true answer so I'm gonna do my best here.

there were 124000 prophets sent by God (Joseph, David, Jonas, Acob, Adam, Jacob, etc.). 5 of them were major Prophets, and the rest were their helpers either reminding people of a major Prophet before them or telling them of a major Prophet being born soon.
these 5 Prophets were Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad.
Mohammad is known to be the last of all Prophets.
Their books were initially the same but the other four were changed by the human hand. Some of the messages of it remain the same but not all.
What made Prophet Muhammad the last Prophet was because God said that Quran is the book that cannot be changed, even if all the heads in the world gather around they wouldn't be able to change a vowel let alone a word or a sentence.
Bible must have been carrying the same message at the beginning. But as we can see there are different types of it. But there is only one Quran. Comparing newly published Qurans to the old ones, that are in museums and are over a 1000 years old, would tell you that not a word of it has changed.

Muslims dont believe that Jesus is God. The think him to be a prophet only. They also believe that all Jews & Christians are cursed and must be destroyed. That is all backed by the Quran. the Bible believes in love & understanding & that we must try to convert non believers (not kill them).

they both have a point where they were split appart before they were together. That is with Abraham. Muslims were from the unnamed child from the maid he had an affair with. She was from a different culture & that is what went on to be the Muslims. They do in no way shape or form believe in or worship the same God.

The Holy Bible is the Word of God. It has history, laws, prophesies, witnesses and fulfillment of prophesies through Jesus, The Son of God. Jesus said that no one should add to or take away from these words. The one and only God of the Bible is Love. Jesus was perfect, sinless, had power over the elements, performed miracles and had hundreds of witnesses to His Resurrection. He is the Son of God.

The quran was the word of one man Muhammad who claimed to be visited by an angel. I believe that was a fallen angel. The quran denies Jesus as The Christ (a lie). It claims the Word of God is distorted, yet uses this "corrupt book (The Holy Bible)" to say that Muhammad was foretold in it (twisted, don't you think?). Muhammad killed and conquered thousands of people (not very holy acts). Muhammad had slaves (not very loving). Muhammad had many wives (not very faithful). He also took money and possessions from the people he forced to convert or that he killed (not very charitable).

Jesus gave. He gave wisdom, signs, sight, hearing, life and then He gave His Life for the salvation of everyone. There was never a need for anyone or anything after that.

May God Bless you.

Yes. The Quran is false doctrine. It says that Jesus was not the son of god and just a prophet. In Revelation 22:19 it says, And if anyone removes any of the words of this prophetic book, God will remove that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book. This is exactly what the Quran does. It takes the gospel and changes it to the point where they even say that Jesus is not the Son of God. Mohammed is a false prophet and in the bible it warns that there will be may false prophets such as mohammed.

The Quarn is only the first five books of the Holy Bible. The Muslims don't like the rest of the sixty six books, so they omitted them. Just like some professing Christian denominations that extract some of the books, and some extract certain verses

Christianity in general believes Christ was/is God and the only way to be redeemed of sin, attain holiness and know God personally is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and be born again.

Islam in general believes that God is not known personally, as God and man are separate, and you must live and die holy (by adhering to Islamic practices) in order to make it to heaven.

Heaven in Christianity is generally a place in eternity where a soul is in God's presence, free from the presence of evil, where temptations and ungodliness are no longer a part of the soul's nature, and where God's people will await the new Heaven and Earth. Hell is a place in eternity where a soul is separate from God, and is associated with torture, fire, worms, and suffering.

sorry, all I know is that Hell is unpleasant in Islam.

Christianity believes the only way to God is to be bron again. Islam believes the only way to Allah is by following Islam.

Muslims make Muhammed more important than Christ, and the Qur'an tells Muslims that they should slay the Pagans (Jews and Christians) if they don't "repent". The Bible also fought against Pagans but that was to get their land that they were promised

Since the Holy Quran is written in Arabic, it has never been altered. It has different translation, though to reach the non-Arabic speaking believers. The Bible has been altered many times in accordance to the wishes of its ruler or king. It has proven that no two of its kind is the same in its words.

According to Christians, the Quran comes from the devil and so forth. They believe that Islam is a false religion.
According to Muslims, it came from the same Christian God. In fact, Muslims believe they and Christians worship the same God.
The Bible was a book from God, but it contains errors, while the Quran is perfect and from the last prophet.
That's all I can say.
