He won, He wont the victory over all things. He gave up HIs life at the cross, noone took it, He said they could not take it, He choose to give it up for us all. He victotriousy got back the keys to heaven, hell, and the grave, when He paid the price for our sins and ended the curse that Adam and Eve had brought on all of man kind. We now have the authority over the devil, but few know that, and operate as victins , instead of Victorious Christians. He died that we may all be saved, but many will reject Him, just like they did when He walked this earth. God gives free choice. So, oh yes, He won. and we can too, if will choose Jesus and not rebelliously reject Him, cuz He deosnt fit into our little agenda on how we think fun living is. Sin brings death and destruction. Obedience leads to blessing and disobedience leads to curse. Not my words, but the Lords.
You can win too, isnt it absolutely awesome. Choose Jesus today. Do it before you die or Jesus comes again, cuz after those other two, its too late...

Romans tried to kill him.
If they managed to kill him, this would mean that they won and he lost.
Which is why we Muslims deny his death.
Its humiliating to the Word of God for a man as great as Jesus to be caught and killed the way the Romans wanted.
According to the Bible, he was tortured, crucified and stabbed while he was on the crucifix.
If he had died there, it doesnt look like he had much of a choice.

I'd say He "won" because He obeyed God all the way to death and had faith that God would take care of Him.
And in doing so, he conquered sin and death. I don't look at the cross as a bad thing - it was part of God's plan... God knew that us humans would not have tolerance for Christ and would put Him to death so He could show us a taste of His power.
Good question!
Be blessed!

I heard that he went to hell to get some of the souls that were not forgiven and brought them to heaven and then retrurned. He did this because they had met the new min. entry standards into heaven.
Pretty cool he dies on the cross and goes to hell to fight for the damned that were now saved.

He accomplished what he came to earth to do, so he succeeded. He only wins as we choose to follow him. When it comes to your life, has he won?

He ended up on a cross saying, " My Lord, my Lord, why hast thou forsaken me." That doesn't sound like a win to me or even a well thought out plan.
I know, I know, I just don't understand the Bible or I am misinterpreting it.
