I think Sunday should be the day we call a truce a day were we can all get along, Thats is what YA is about, we are supposed to be learning from each other not fighting. Sunday should be a day of peace, On sunday I promise not to compare Jesus to Harry Potter or compare the New Testament to the thrid season of Lost(which isn't very good) What are some things that you will promise not to do on Sunday?

Is this actually true? Surely not. Must all the witnesses be Muslim? What if the rape happened with no witnesses and it is her word against his? What happens then? This can't be true , can it? Could I please hear from Muslims?

Luke says it one sentence. Mark also one sentence.

Your great leader rises into the sky, presumably headed for Heaven -- and of the four Biblical accounts of his life, written by faithful followers, two don't mention the event and two others report it with barely one sentence?

Question: What's up with that??

Moreover, none but his closest followers reported seeing him after his supposed resurrection.

AND YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THIS STUFF UNDER PENALTY OF ETERNAL DAMNATION?

I do, but if you do give a reason and if you do not, give a reason or reasons. Its perfectly all right to have dissenting views. That is how we learn by listening to those who have other voices.

Do you believe that someone did find Jesus's tomb? If so why?

Matt. 4:10: “Jesus said to him: ‘Go away, Satan! For it is written, “It is Jehovah [“the Lord,” KJ and others] your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.”’” (Jesus was obviously not saying that he himself was to be worshiped.)

John 8:54: “Jesus answered [the Jews]: ‘If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father that glorifies me, he who you say is your God.’” (The Hebrew Scriptures clearly identify Jehovah as the God that the Jews professed to worship. Jesus said, not that he himself was Jehovah, but that Jehovah was his Father. Jesus here made it very clear that he and his Father were distinct individuals.)

Ps. 110:1: “The utterance of Jehovah to my [David’s] Lord is: ‘Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.’” (At Matthew 22:41-45, Jesus explained that he himself was David’s “Lord,” referred to in this psalm. So Jesus is not Jehovah but is the one to whom Jehovah’s words were here directed.)

Phil. 2:9-11: “For this very reason also God exalted him [Jesus Christ] to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. [Dy reads: “ . . . every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.” Kx and CC read similarly, but a footnote in Kx acknowledges: “ . . . the Greek is perhaps more naturally rendered ‘to the glory,’” and NAB and JB render it that way.]” (Notice that Jesus Christ is here shown to be different from God the Father and subject to Him.)

Whats the historical or religious significance behind?
We think God listens on Sunday? As he knows about the concept of Weekdays and its pre-occupation.

Share your knowledge.

Darwin had it right...what so many others suspected...artificial selection has been practiced for centuries...isn't natural selection just as obvious...organisms are NOT free to reproduce with whomever, they are limited by their abilities to acquire limited resources...since there is a natural variation (just look around at humans), some individuals will be better able to survive, those better able to survive would be more likely to reproduce, those who reproduce are likely to pass on their "fit" traits to their offspring...not complicated...

I’ve just been wondering. Why are Christians a common denominator in almost all conflicts? Be it in real life or on this forum. Many (not all) Christians are in the forefront to make others feel uncomfortable in their religions or atheistic lives. What is at the root of this intolerance? Does it mean that for one to be a Christian they must embrace this odd behaviour? As a Christian, what do you do to ensure that irrespective of whether people accept your faith, they feel comfortable to talk to you or listen to your argument without a fear of their integrity being bludgeoned?

I just got back we had a lovely service this morning and now I am very refreshed ready to start my day off with a question for you. Does every one keep God in their heart all day on Sunday? Doesn't it make your day much more pleasant knowing God is right there with you?

Isn't the entire Christian religion based on Jesus dying and taking all of our sins with him? Would there be a Christian religion without his death at the cross? Why are other people blamed for his death if it was predicted and necessary for the creation of Christianity? I am not Christian and am just trying to understand. I have asked Catholic friends and they have no answer.

If, as Richard Dawkins claims, natural selection is adequate to explain all of humanity, why does he not recognize that religion likely has evolutionary advantages? If religious beliefs caused behaviors that did not promote biological fitness, religion would have fallen away several thousand years ago. Why not just accept it and move on?

I tried looking up the terms on several dictionaries and they might as well be synonyms...

Would you go to church if they spoke highly of "credulity" instead of "faith"?
