King David was born in 907 BCE, he reigns as king of Israel for 40 years, dying at age 70 in 837 BCE. He was the second King to reign over a united Israel, Saul being the first. David's son Solomon ruled after him.

He was King over Jerusalem. Aftrer the reign of Saul and before the reign of solomon. not sure how many years.
