There is a story in the Islamic history that makes me ask whether early Muslims might used to make living from looting Arab caravans.

The story tells about one of prophet Muhammed's companions (with the name Abdullah Al Aslamy) why wanted to marry a girl but could not afford her dowry (men pay the dowry in Islam). He asked prophet Muhammed if he could help him and prophet Muhammed told him he had no money but he could send him in a military mission and he might get the money from the looting he gets in that mission.

The story continues and tells us that the man went to the mission and they looted a village and he personally got a lot of money from that mission as well as a beautiful female captive whom he took as a slave.

Does this mean that early Muslims used to make living from looting other villages?

I read a post by a christian that there is only one god, but then he wrote jesus christ is god? So basicly who or what should you worship? One more thing, why is a seperation of religion in western society?

To be frank i'm a muslim and i don't meant any bad intention. I just want to know the points of view of a christian.

I have tried prayer, church, reading the bible, etc. Everyone says if you believe and pray, your prayers will be answered. I am dealing with some heavy stuff, as usual. I know I can lighten my load if I can just find God. Am I doing something wrong? I believe in Him, I just cannot feel his presence in my life. Any help appreciated

Here it is--

Genesis 1:6-8: "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day."

The simple meaning of the words is that the sky is a solid object and there is water overtop it, and the sky in fact keeps the water off us. Does anybody believe this is how it is? If not, why take any part of the creation story (including Adam and Eve) literally?

In short, no, Jesus did not die on a cross, rather a stake. The origins of the cross are not christian.

Like false prides the ego creates to compensate for one's
low self-esteem. People thinking they are better than others, and that other peoples are less then human beings! And they subject
others to misery!

I have heard people say they don't like it when we go door to door, but why? Honestly it's like if you had a cure for a disease that infects millions, would you just keep it to yourself? No you would go tell everyone you know right?

Ok So that being said, we have the cure for all who are suffering, so why would we keep this cure to ourselves? that would be selfish and greedy.

On top of that Jesus commanded us to keep this preaching work going (acts 10:42), so to all you "christians" Why are you not doing what Jesus commanded to do? Wouldn't that be wrong not to do something Jesus has said? Of course it would
