I have heard people say they don't like it when we go door to door, but why? Honestly it's like if you had a cure for a disease that infects millions, would you just keep it to yourself? No you would go tell everyone you know right?
Ok So that being said, we have the cure for all who are suffering, so why would we keep this cure to ourselves? that would be selfish and greedy.
On top of that Jesus commanded us to keep this preaching work going (acts 10:42), so to all you "christians" Why are you not doing what Jesus commanded to do? Wouldn't that be wrong not to do something Jesus has said? Of course it would
So why do you persecute us, and hate us for something that Jesus told us to do? that makes no type of since, if you really love your God, you would see we are doing his will.
Our God Jehovah sent forth his son Jesus, and he did this work as well and Jesus told us at john 15:20 that they persecuted him and they will in our time. So knowing all of this why do you get mad?

We do believe that 144,000 will only get into heaven by way of jehovah's holy spirit rev 14:1,3 And we will live on paradise earth rev 21:4 so this is why we preach the good news. Our bible was written by God, It has been translated into our common language today, other bibles have taken Jehovah Gods name out and replaced it To deflect the truth. And If Jehovah says that he is God, why would you say that Jesus is God?

So we are wrong for doing what Jesus the one you claim to be the most high God told us to do?
If Jesus came to your door would you treat him like you treat us? NO But Jesus is gonna come to your door w/ the same message that we come to your door w/.

I don't disrespect your faith and when people of your religion came to my door or even stopped me on the sidewalk to speak, i always tried to give a few minutes of my time. i don't just don't agree with quite a few things that your faith practices and it does make for an interesting and learning conversation, just not a conversion.
if this religion is your true calling then don't be discourage and down hearted. continue with your calling with strength, faith and pride.

There was a time when I did not like any religious person coming to my door and would chase them off. But over the years I have changed. Half my family members are Witnesses [even my husband ]. I am supported of what he does and they are welcomed in my home. They only thing I ask of them is DO NOT try to convert me from my beliefs. We all have our own standards and they should respect us for that. Never had any problems with my husbands congregations.
I do go with him at the Memorials and come conventions. I was there for him 12 years ago when he was Baptist. I have gone to the picnics' they have.
Everyone has their own beliefs. Some Witnesses I have found are very pushy, so I stay away from them. All in all they are better mannered then most people, very clean and polite.
May Jehovah guide you in all you do.

It is an unwanted invasion of our space.
Lets take your cure analogy a step futher. Some argue that faith in a higher being, rules of behavior passed down from on high that yield a heavenly reward for tolerating an unhappy or unproductive earthly life, is a cure for all earthly unhappiness.
Others argue that it isn't a cure for earthly problems, it is a seductive method of thinking that distracts you from earthly problems. (Religion was once accurately called "the opium of the masses".)
If preachy religion is a panacea for earthly woes, I think it is not unfair to see it as one with a number of side affects. From my personal experiences, I have seen people who loudly push out their religious views as being little more than parrots. When I have questioned those beliefs, the answers have not been satisfying. "It says so here..." is frequently the answer as they point to a passage that often is being taken out of context.
So does preachy religion counsume your mind and eliminate your ability to process information?
So if religion is a Panacea for earthly woes that effectively diminishes your ability to think --- like ahlzheimers --- then I would pass on it, and more to the point I would be pissed off if you showed up on my step and tried to infect me with it against my will.
Jehovah's Witnesses, Amway people, The Klan, and many more organizations are filled with people who beleive they have all the answers to the world's questions and a responsibility to share their answers with the rest of us. The facts are many of us consider the answers that people in these organizations have to be inadequate, if not outright wrong. When our ability to evaluate your answers is not respected, you are not respecting us. If these feelings are not respected, the non-converted feel resentment towards the converted.
Every business has products. Amway makes Amway People. Jehovah's witnesses and the Mormons make people who interrupt our lives to tell us things that many, if not most of us, don't want to hear based on a scheme created by the church founders to use members to bring in new members (and more dollars) to those churches.

in my faith, everyone's home should be a "little temple" (talmudic reference) - a place for sanctuary and learning on a personal level. would you agree that it would be inappropriate for you to come to a synagogue (or any other place of worship for that matter) to tell people that what is true for you is true for them? that's where i am coming from when i politely tell people who preach door to door that they are not welcome in my home.
that said, i have no issues with the witnesses in general, and understand that it is part of your religious practice, so i don't get mad, and have even been known to offer a cold drink in the summer if i am not busy with other things. it's simply a matter of putting my beliefs before your beliefs, and inviting you in to my temple to say things that contradict my god is just not something i can do.
i hope you understand that no disrespect for your beliefs is meant by being true to my own.
may god truly bless you and others who seek to understand those who don't think like them.
take care.
edit: i'm jewish. i don't claim jesus. a lot of other people don't claim him either. my personal belief is that he was probably a schizophrenic with sociopathic tendencies, so i would probably hide in the closet and call the cops if he showed up at my house.

that's a call. You and your faith decide directly to bypass to door to door. that's fantastic, it is your real to accomplish that. yet on the different hand, that's our real to get indignant. while i bypass abode, as quickly as I walk interior the door. i choose to close the actual worldwide out. My house is my secure spot. If i decide directly to bypass to church to desire to God, i'm making that decision. i've got not got the Preacher, Rabbi, And etc. Coming to my door. as quickly as I lived back in my homeland, I had to call the police. as a results of fact a team of Jehovah's' witnesses saved Returning to my house, a minimum of 5 situations an afternoon. i in my view had to call the police, because of this. If I Made a call the 1st time, why did they ought to maintain returning. it is not real to me, I Gave them a while. they ought to return the honour, and not attempt to stress faith. that's my Opinion.

Sorry but being preached to by someone whose religion is named after a mispronunciation of an old Hebrew translation is not the most inspiring thing I can think of doing.
If they were not even smart enough to research the correct pronunciation, how can you have much faith in anything else they came up with?
Love and blessings Don

Because when you come to our door, it's like your invading our lives when we're trying to have some peace and quiet. A lot of us already have a religion and are not going to just give it up like that. Why can't you just send us mail or something? Cards, banners, email, stuff like that. Us Christians are going out and touching the world, we just don't do it as annoyingly as you. We have missionaries, care groups, little cards in people's mail, and we become friends with people and lead them to Christ. I thought you guys believed that only a certain amount of people could get saved anyway, so what's the point in this?

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Because we've heard it all before.
Do you REALLY think that there is a single soul out there who has never, ever heard of Jesus?
Don't you think if your "truth" was that great you wouldn't have to convince people of it. They would just be knocking down your door...
Your book was written by men. Not Jesus.
Christianity is the disease that affects millions...
Edit: Wow. I don't recall EVER claiming that Jesus was the "most high god"... EVER...
