I've done it. When he's in the middle of preaching about the "evils of criminal behavior", stand up and shout "Jesus was a criminal!". They loooooooooooove that one. Some of them will actually try to argue with you about it. Poor bastards have been going to church for 20 years and have never read the Crucifixion story, lol.

Go for it, and I hope you bring a tissue, for you will be crying.
Ministers, Preachers, etc are not just some guy from the neighborhood who knew his Bible the best so he was elected into that position. These men have studied this book inside and out, gone to college for it, have degrees in it and normally know at least 4 other languages and religions along with it all.
If you care to have your wits matched and crushed, stand up and speak. If you care to find out the truth and not be a horses back side about it, set up a private meeting and I am sure he will explain anything you care to know, in a rational non preaching way.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
The proper way to rebuke a neighbor who follows Scripture, is to follow it as well. Please see Matthew 18:15-20 and invoke this authority in order to rebuke for the purpose of reconcilation. The Bible says it is a wise man who accepts rebuke. So as long as you present your correction in the spirit of Wisdom and reconciliation in the spirit of truth and love which precedes the return of Christ, then the healing you bring will be welcomely received.
If you wish only to discredit and bring judgment, be warned. The Bible warns that even if an angel were to present witness in a manner other than the original Gospel of the audience, that messenger will be persecuted and rejected.
Not even a Christian may successfully witness to another Christian in the spirit of judgment and error, but can only succeed if the purpose is for "mutual" correction and reconciliation. James 5:16 "confess faults one to another and pray for one another that ye may be healed." See also scriptures on "Judge not, but judge righteous judgement" and "removing the beam from our own eyes" so we may see clearly to help a neighbor remove a splinter. All these are natural laws that apply to both Christians and Gentiles outside the church. Human nature is consistent and responds better to rebukes by an equal for the purpose of correction and restoring relations, and tends to reject and not hear someone criticizing us as an adversary. So be sure to approach your neighbor as a fellow human being whom you equally care about establishing common truth between you and rebuking mutual error on either side equally.

there's a time and appropriate place for each little thing. That replaced into the incorrect time and the incorrect place. improve up and end appearing like a spoiled brat. Doing that makes you no diverse than various theistic sects that insist on shoving their perspectives down your throat in spite of in case you prefer to take heed to them or no longer. it fairly is an argument of admire, you will no longer be able to get admire in case you do no longer provide it. movements like that make everybody look undesirable.

BAD idea. Just leave them to their superstitions. They will outnumber you and can easily shout you down...or even beat you down.
Bear in mind that a preacher is usually someone who knows his Biblical tales pretty well. His interpetations may be a little odd (sometimes REALLY odd) but he likely knows his stuff. If you insist on taking him on, a) do it privately first and b) make sure you know your stuff AND his.

No, don't do it in front of his congregation. One of two things will happen:
1. He'll be so much more educated than you that he makes an utter fool out of you in front of all those people.
OR
2. You'll make a fool out of him, which will only strengthen his congregation's faith.
Besides, it's disrespectful to disrupt a religious meeting. Make an appointment. Any priest would be glad to talk to you. In most cases, if they don't have the answers, they'll direct you to someone who does.

If you need attention that badly just get a sandwich board and wait till mass is over, I'm sure you'll draw the type of crowd you are looking for.

I would not advise it. I am also an atheist, with a touch of an agnostic, and intruding on anothers religion and critisicing it may be rude, no matter how polite you are. With religions, even if you disagree, you must always show respect. Make friends, not enemies.

NO! You can not disrupt their meeting anymore than you would like a Christian to disrupt yours!!!!!
If you'd like to ask him for a debate over lunch or something after mass, you may. He can save face by refusing if he wants to.
It isn't ethical to try to make a fool of someone in front of their congregation...the plan will backfire!! Don't do it.
