hehe ok now i have your attention

I see so many people ask questions here asking what ways can i be spiritual ... or what possitive things can i learn from Buddhism etc
only for those people to be met with such answers like ...
no you should come to Christ etc
yes if i see a person wishing to become Christian , i will offer web sites etc if i can because i respect the persons wishes and i will answer them in the way they wish and need to be answered
why can't everyone respect these type of questions and answer them as best they can with the information the person is looking for without warnings or negative remarks ?

I'm back and forth. I feel troubled. When I think with my heart I end up a fool! But when I think with my brain, my heart aches!

I keep seeing all these questions that are completely offensive towards atheists. I mean questions like, "Why are atheists in this section" and blah blah blah.
I just wanted to set a couple things straight. Many atheists do not believe, NOT JUST because of science, BUT many of them have personal reasons for not believing. And all the believers here seem to overlook that! For instance, I for example, do not believe in the bible because I do not agree with anything in it.....not just the creation and the miraculous stories, but with the rules and commandments set down. I, just morally, do not agree with them.
And, finally, (being a former Christian) I do not believe in God because, not only have I never seen evidence of him existing, BUT I have also never felt his love (like you said I would), and I've never felt him by my side, (like you said I would). When I was a Christian, I had never felt more guilty, more alone, and more depressed. I do not believe because he is not there.

I don't believe in a God, but many people tell me I should...just to be safe.

So, I was thinking of creating a Christian avatar, a Muslim avatar, a Thor avatar, a FSM avatar, a Zeus avatar, etc, etc. Is this the easiest way to be safe? Or do I also need Second Life accounts and all that?

You can't say GOD, or JESUS, or the name of any deity. Nor can you choose yourself. It needs to be something external to you, but tangible. You have to find something in this physical world we live in that has lifted you up and made you feel alive, connected, and spiritually complete in some way.

For me, I would have to say Music is one of the things I feel has the power to enrich my spirit and make me feel good spiritually (alive, connected etc...)

We don't kill nobody. We keep to ourselves for the most part. Even in government we don't force people to believe what we do. Christianity is all about faith and free will. We should all have the right to be whatever faith we want to be. It seems to me like alot of people want to do away with Christ entirely. Although this is impossible, it is disturbing! I understand that there is alot of hypocrisy in the churches these days. But thats people for ya! I don't want to blame God and become an Atheist for the simple fact that alot of people are hypocrites and are just as evil as anyone else. I don't believe that people are "perfect". I do believe however, that the churches could do more in the area of "behavior". Gossip and Slander and things of such are very harmful to people who lack understanding. Some blame God for the problem. But the real problem is man. As long as there are people there will be hypocrites. As long as there are hypocrites there will be Atheists.

After the flood ended and Noah was unloading all the animals from all over the world. How did all the predators not die out straight away? I mean...they would have had no food, there were only two of each animal of prey and that would run out quick. Also, ever time a predator killed, wouldn't they kill an entire species? Considering that there was only two of the animals left in the entire world?

Like the one that's been asked on here before, about; How did the population grow from two people if incest is considered a huge no no?
Woman are treated second class, in the bible, surely Christians don't believe that now, yet God says " I am God I never change"
People where supposed to live to rediculously old ages.
There is talk of giants.
To fit every living thing into one boat would be impossible, no matter how you justify it.
I'm no their are lots more, but the answer that always seems to be given, is that you must have faith, and that (some people say) it is wrong to question. To me that's just a cop out because people don't know how to explain it, and it's wearing a bit thin.
I actually do believe in a God, but I don't believe that the bible is supposed to be taken literally. There are really outdated concepts
that need to be updated.

Keep in mind that I am not a christian or muslim. And I do not support pres. Bush and his party, but I am a proud american citizen. And very happy that there are people willing to die so that I have the right to dissent peacefully and make my own opinions. I am wondering if muslim americans feel the same way.

I want to believe, but I'm not sure? Sometimes I think there is a God, and then I end up a fool.

It's ok to believe in God. But if he comes to you, you're CRAZY, right?! I'm all kinds of CRAZY!
