It just seems odd that atheists laugh and mock at the Bible and Christians belief in Creationism because they call that "magic", yet they will quickly believe in spontaneous life. There was a bunch of different gases and crap on earth, then POW! lightening strikes and we got life baby! No, that's not magic, that's science. Doesn't it seem like they ripped off this basic theory from Christians, then changed it to make it more scientific and adapt to their beliefs and now claim it as a fact and call themselves geniuses? Are these people really not believing in God, or are they just social misfits that purposely try to cause trouble by baiting Christians, like the Satanists? Seems more like they are a club with the goal of mocking religion than a group of scientists seeking to find the truth.

Switch on your T V! Open up your Newspaper! You will find personalities on either an acquisition or an achievement drive being adored for their endeavor. Mentally and physically they toil hard sacrificing their health and a harmonious family life, when they are on hot pursuits after wealth and fame. They forget the Law of Diminishing Utility and the basic fact that a low-sq. ft., coffin never accommodates an empire. When achievements are many, sacrifices are more. Thus gains that can't be relished will remain left-overs. You have limits in everything, particularly consumption. What is the use of owning everything under the Sun and gloating over it when the Law of Diminishing utility applies on us? In this context don't you think that a man who live by his daily bread with saving enough to take care of the future lives a glorious and enviable life? lileeann

...of everything. We like to say we have 'free will' or 'free choice', but that is not what the Bible tells us. That may be what our choices appear like from our vantage point; but, God has chosen His children from the time of Creation. There is no situation or circumstance we can contrive by 'choice' that can thwart God's will for us...whether that be blessings or adversity...whether we understand it or not. His ways are higher than our ways.

Rather, when we 'choose' to follow the Lord and believe, we 'choose' to serve Him and store up treasures in heaven. When we ignore or outright disobey the Lord in our lives by our own 'choice', I think God gives us opportunities to bring condemnation and judgement on ourselves. If gone unrepented with no faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, we 'choose' to place ourselves under His judgement. On the other hand, through faith in Christ (which itself comes from God, not ourselves) we 'choose' to bring glory to God the Father.
What do you think?

I am at a loss on part of the bible. It has to do with Adam and Eve and the apple of knowledge of good and evil.

Basically my problem is this:

God creates Adam and Eve. They have no knowledge of good and evil, right or wrong. He tells them they can eat anything except the fruit from this one tree. If they eat it they will die. They have no experience of death, and no knowledge of whether it is good or bad.

They do not follow God's word and eat the apple. God punishes them for this. Why?

They do not know right or wrong before eating the apple. So they do not know that not doing what God said is wrong. They have no concept of mortality, so why would the threat of death prevent them from doing anything?

It seems to me that someone with true wisdom would realise the problem here. How do you expect them to adhere to any sort of morality when you did not include morality in them upon creation. In fact you told them they could not have it.

Truthiness as defined by Stephen Colbert:
A thing which a person claims to know intuitively, instinctively, or "from the gut" without regard to evidence, logic, intellectual examination, or actual facts.

Now that we know what it means.. is this the way to explain creation, resurrection, a god-man, mythology.. evolution.. or is it as the church lady says .. just ... Satan?

Those false rumors have circulated since the 2nd century .Time to come up with some others. What say you??

Ive heard that every sin satan commits causes God pain. Ive heard the in the final days of the apocalypse their will be a final war. This may be a more rediculous example but when ever I see "reinactments" of exorcisms it usually takes hours upon hours to exercise a demons, even though the demon is told that he compelled by Christ to leave he doesnt always leave, they must have some sort of resistant to Gods power.

Ok. I am a devout christian. But, I am being troubled by the existence of the dinosaurs. The Bible does not say of them, but it does say of animals. I dont know if they were included, or not. I don't think that the Bible is wrong, but there was never any mention of dinosaurs. Can someone enlighten me? If you are going to go into an anti-christian rant, just know that I will be praying for you at church.
