Why would you want to pollute God's temple?
Your body is your temple, bub.

Well two part answer.

The bible says that anything we do to excess is a sin.
Anything we do that becomes more important than GOD is a sin.
Anything we do to the point of loseing control of our persons is a sin.

At the root of the issue, no. The bible is silent on it.
I would put it under the same area as drinking, if you do it to the point of being a drunkard, it becomes a sin.

Now the bad news.

Because its ilegal in the US, your breaking the law.
The bible says that GOD appointed your rulers and your supposed to follow their laws, unless those laws go against GODs law.

So because its ilegal in the US, it is a sin for you to do it even occasionally.

There are some christians who will say drinking any at all is a sin, and of course weed is a sin too.. but they actually dont have a solid bible verse to stand on without really twisting some bible to the point of wonder.

So to close, as long as its illegal, its a sin.

First of all, despite vehement efforts, marijuana and most other mind-altering drugs are still illegal. As Christians, we are to be subject and submissive to the governing authorities, (Rom. 13:1-5) thus, if something is illegal under our government it is not only unlawful for a Christian, it is also sinful. Even if a person is not a Christian, he or she is still subject to these same laws.

I also think that if you are under the influence of a drug your mind becomes more receptive to letting in evil. When someone is high there is no way a person can do God's will efficiently.

I'd say it is more of a habit which could lead to sin. It's not specifically mentioned in the bible. As with alcohol use, I would be cautious. You don't want to do anything that would cause the Holy Spirit to fade. If you feel you have a problem with this habit, or any other habit. Ask Jesus about it, He'll help you understand.

Anything that takes you away from experiencing the true presence of God, in its highest form, is a sin. Marijuana, just like any other drug, alters. When you sit face to face with the Father, looking into His eyes, Mary Jane just cannot compare. ( and that's said from experience) One Fruit of the Spirit is being self-controlled and alert, which means you have this in you, to resist the temporary and seek the eternal and man...is it worth it!!!

God considers all sins to be equal. If you are saved, then you will be forgiven all sins. Even if pot smoking isn't a sin, the Bible does say to follow the laws of the land and in America, it is illegal..

I believe God put everything on earth for a reason. He wanted pot on earth and he wanted it to have it's purpose. I've never smoked it and don't plan on it but those are my views. Just don't get carried away and addicted with it and start doing bad things and I'm sure God won't have a problem with it.

I believe that the consumption of anything that will intoxicate your body is a sin, but if is used as a medicine, not for the alteration of your system, I think is not, as long as is prescribed and proves that with out the use of it as a medicine you'll die, is ok...For example, alcohol intoxicates your system and is a sin the consuption of it, but if is used as the form of desinfectant, is not a sin to use it!

Anything that we do to injure or hurt our body is a sin against our body (the temple of God) and the body will pay for it; i.e. anything in excess, i.e. alcohol, tobacco, drugs, etc.
Anyway, can't you get in trouble with the laws of our land for buying and smoking marijuana?

God gave to you every herb to use as you need. Even the poisonous can be for medicine or for other uses. It is not what goes into your mouth but what comes out of it that makes you clean or unclean.

Impossible to give you a good answer.
It isn't written in the bible. And that was written by man after they made their own interpetations on how things should be.
You may be better off seeking answers from your local congregation.
