We don't kill nobody. We keep to ourselves for the most part. Even in government we don't force people to believe what we do. Christianity is all about faith and free will. We should all have the right to be whatever faith we want to be. It seems to me like alot of people want to do away with Christ entirely. Although this is impossible, it is disturbing! I understand that there is alot of hypocrisy in the churches these days. But thats people for ya! I don't want to blame God and become an Atheist for the simple fact that alot of people are hypocrites and are just as evil as anyone else. I don't believe that people are "perfect". I do believe however, that the churches could do more in the area of "behavior". Gossip and Slander and things of such are very harmful to people who lack understanding. Some blame God for the problem. But the real problem is man. As long as there are people there will be hypocrites. As long as there are hypocrites there will be Atheists.

Some are Atheist because they choose to be. Others have seen to much false religion and have chosen to not believe in God at all. Some religion is misleading, and causes people to question.

Get with today! You can't blame Christians for things that have happened hundreds of years or ago or longer.

Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
Joh 15:20 Remember the Word which I said to you, A slave is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted Me, they also will persecute you. If they kept My Word, they also will keep yours.
Joh 15:21 But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me.

I dislike christians b/c of who represents them. I'm talking about the fundamentalists and the evangelists. Christians tend to be close minded, and very rude and hypocritical. They do not stand for people's rights and are extremely arrogant. They seem to know everything and think that the United States should be run by them. I am an Atheist because Christianity is filled with the dumbest people I've ever met.

I don't hate all Christians. If you are around Yahoo for very long however, you will see the most disrespectful and intolerant opinions being most often expressed by Christians. Someone asks for resources on learning Buddhism for example and several Christians jump in trashing Buddhism and saying anyone who doesn't accept Jesus as their savior is bound for the fiery pit of Hell. This is atrocious and offensive behavior to me. I couple this with the denial of scientific discoveries and trying to keep evolution from being taught in school and other policies regarding sex education and birth control which they try to interfere with. These particular Christians aren't interested in allowing others to follow their own life path. Yes, there are also Muslims who are very pushy and intolerant as well as atheists who are really venting their frustrations but I think they are by far outnumbered by the intolerant Christians.

Christianity is most known because of the Europeans that pushed it upon masses. The bible itself is plagarized!!!! The bible is full of farfetched myths that are used to control people ultimately. The Christians i come in contact with are narrow minded. the believe that one man of alllllllll the things on this earth is the only way to salvation. The exclusive few that created Christianity are Freemasons. If you arent informed on The Illuminati, Freemasons, and The New World Order then it may be hard for u to understand what im presenting.

If you all keep to your self so much then why do I get so much hate mail from Christians on here? Sure, you may actually practice what you are preaching, but your fellow 'believers' sure don't.

I do not hate Christians. I am however of the opinion that Christianity is a mediocre idea gone horribly, horribly wrong. Many of its fundamental teachings strike me as innately harmful and damaging; its followers tend to be close-minded and bigoted; and its theology is flawed. To be fair, it shares several of these qualities with other monotheistic religions. Also to be fair, as people will no doubt race to inform me, Christianity does have adherents who aren't quite as warped as their religion tends to be. However, in general, I have found Christianity to be severely lacking in its spirituality, social, and ethical teachings; and Christians to be largely arrogant and rude.

People don't become Atheists just because they don't like Christians, it's usually because they see no evidence for the existence of any Gods.

I chose my religion because I liked it better than Christianity, and for me it's the right one. Different people have different ways of viewing the world and that's how it should be. You are being judgmental with your comment about false religions.

You lost all credibility at this point: "We don't kill nobody. We keep to ourselves for the most part."

You constantly preach to those that dont want to hear it, and I can think of MANY people that have been killed in the name of God. John Lennon for one, by a CHRISTIAN.

I dont hate anyone. I dont hate Christians. What I hate is how your religion blinds you and makes you not even able to see a simple fact.

First of all I don't hate Christians. I have close firendships with pastors and lay people alike who know my views, but also know they've been able to count on me when they couldn't count on the faithful.

Secondly, get a dictionary and look up hypocrite. You clearly have no idea of the word's actual meaning and you are embarassing yourself and all Christians with you.

Thirdly, people like you are hated, and bring condemnation on Jesus, because your post doesn't display even the most tenuous contact with the teachings, mind or spirit of Christ , or the Apostles, but show an excellent command of the kind of ad hominem trash taking made popular by TV evangelists who also don't know Jesus from Shinola and got their theological training from a Crackerjacks box.

There are people of your faith who want to convert all the non-believers and won't rest until that happens. There are people of your faith who will not rest until the ten commandments, prayer, and ID/creationism is taught in every public school, and judges will base their decisions on the bible and the ten commandments.

There are some Christians who would prefer that those of us of minority faith, other faith, and no faith were either killed or gotten rid of.

That's why a lot of people seem to be down on Christians a lot lately. It's nothing against you personally, unless you're a member of the extremist Christians who want all of this to happen.

I don't hate christians.

Christians are people, worthy of love and respect.

I have nothing but the utmost contempt for Christianity however. And Islam too. Unlike all the other religions on the planet, they are the only two to have a manditory compunction to attempt to convert the world. Every other religion has a built in awareness of the idea that there may be other gods and that's perfectly okay, or that there may be no gods at all, and that's okay too.

Because some of them start throwing 500 verses from the Bible in their answer, act like they're smarter than everyone else, and damn everyone who's not a Christian to Hell or tell them that unless you "accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior" you'll go to Hell because being "saved by Jesus" is the only way you'll get into Heaven. And it makes other religious people and atheists/agnostics upset when they do this.

It is because of their better than you attitude, coupled with persistant hey, you little sinner, did you know you are sinning? Why don't you get saved?

Even a fool can see that the best "Christian" is still sinning & imperfect. It is laughable for one sinner, for this is the definition of sinner, one that sins, to tell still another they need to get saved.

When you are perfect, then you may judge what the other person really needs.

This is the hypocrisy of it all.
