Well someone asked a question about "Pagan Bibles" and i couldnt come up with any sacred texts for Druids and i was wondering if anyone here knows what these would be?

I know that there is at least one Druid here (Chris J)
I know this because he e-mailed me something about Handfasting.

This is completely hypothetical. I'm not asking for bible quotes or preaching here. Take this as HYPOTHETICAL. If it were absolutely proven with no doubt that this tomb contained the bones of Jesus Christ. Would it destory the christian faith? Since the bible says that jesus was ressurected on the 3rd day, I believe (I may be wrong about that) then would it open up the floodgates and prove the bible is false? Remember this is a hypothetical and just a question. It's not a question of if you think this is true or not. It's a question of what would happen to the christian faith if it was proven without a doubt that it was the bones of Jesus Christ in this tomb. Please don't answer with "IT'S NOT TRUE BECAUSE THE BIBLE TOLD ME SO. Thanks!

Fundamentalists in Largo, Florida sure think so, showing up to demand the termination of City Manager Steve Stanton because he annouced he was preparing for gender reassignment surgery.

"Mr. Stanton is not a role model. He's proven that. I think for the sake of our young people today, you need to do what's right, and that's terminate him. ... If Jesus was here tonight, I can guarantee you he'd want him terminated. Make no mistake about it."- Ron Sanders, pastor, Lighthouse Baptist Church of Largo

Why is it always Baptist churches with L names like Landmark and Lighthouse?

I am personaly convinced by this that no matter how low you set the bar of compassion, fundamentalist Christians can limbo under it with room to spare. But weigh in here and explain why religious zealots should be able to have government employees fired who have not broken any laws or regulations and have excellent work records because they are nevertheless "actin agin Gawd's will" as a fundie sees it.

Why do so many Wiccans talk negatively about Satanism, saying it should be avoided and such, without researching it thoroughly first? Is it simply to avoid being associated with it and avoid the stigma being placed on them by Christians?

Better than the Holy Bible, saying that Bible has been translated incorrectly so many times, corrupting the Holy Bible?

There is much more evidence that the Holy Bible is correct in its entirety.

I find it difficult to accept the "once saved always saved" teachings of Southern Baptist. My husband is Baptist and has this amazing peace about his life and death for that matter. I want it too but....I guess I can't let go of my Church of Christ upbringings.

Any thoughts?

I would just like to say the following:

(So I do this 3 times a week... get over it. It makes you smile.. hehe.)

Have a great day.

Jesus loves you.

I love you.

My greatest desire is to see you overflowing with the joy and peace of God.

If you don't want it, don't listen to me.

But I will never stopping telling everyone about the truth I hold inside.

I can't wait to get to heaven, but Jesus has a ticket for you too. It's free.

God Bless.

And if you're an atheist... may the magical invisible pink unicorn in the sky that created you and loves you with all of his infinite being bless you.

(lol)

Have a great day.

Again.

I have a question regarding Karma, as it applies to buddhism. Refer to the following quote from Buddahnet.net:
"Karma is the law that every cause has an effect, i.e., our actions have results. This simple law explains a number of things: inequality in the world, why some are born handicapped and some gifted, why some live only a short life. Karma underlines the importance of all individuals being responsible for their past and present actions."
Is this quote saying that people are handicapped because of something bad they did in a past life? Or that they are born in a poor country because they deserve it?

Other insights and explanations of Karma welcome also.

I often wonder why people who call themselves "religious" are sometimes so nasty and condescending to homeless people. Does treating people with compassion only apply to those people in your same economic bracket or above? Wouldn't you want compassion if you were a victim of circumstance?

Granted there are people who have made bad choices and that's the reason that they are homeless. Haven't we all done things we later regretted and wish we could change?

I'm not even advocating giving the homeless money. I'm advocating that we treat them like human beings and respect their dignity.

I want to believe that Jesus is whatever He wants me to believe He is but He clearly said He was the Son of God. He said that no man knows when He will come again, not even Him only God the Father. If He WAS the Father then why would He say that? "Because He was still on earth" you might answer.

But He said this AFTER His resurection - (Rev 3:21) states, "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. " After His resurection He is still calling Him His Father.

I worship Him as God, I believe they are the same substance but different entities. And I believe the Holy Spirit is also a part of them. I'm quite familiar with the verses that suggest He is the Father so you don't have to quote them. It is a little confusing but how is that evil or going against the bible if I believe He is the SON of God?

I have no idea what they are talking about. I am a Christian and I do go to church. I believe in God and everything, but I have never felt inner peace or true happiness. I honestly don't even know what it is? If the life that we live in was created by society, then in a sense happiness is created by society. How would anyone know when they are happy? How can anyone really be completely satisfied when there are so many bad things in society? How can one be happy when living in sucn an unperfect world? How can God solve all your problems and make you feel at peace when you know that all your questions about life remain unanswered? So what experiences have you undergone that can justify your full trust in God? I mean people are living life stressed out, fearful of failure, not being happy, etc. God can just make all that dissapper?

The word Amen appears 22 times in the old testament and 50 times in the new testament however, there is no scriptures telling of its origin. In the Hebrew translation, it means: "God of Amen". In your opinion, where did this word originate and what is its true meaning.

I know what the Bible says about honoring thy Father & Mother and I'm not disputing that. My question is, if a person has never met their real Father & their Mother didn't want them & gave them up for adoption, then comes back in their life when they're in their 30's, after they were raised by loving adoptive parents, do they have to honor their drug addicted birth mom who only "loves" them because she needs money?

When I was a child and a youth the early part of my teens I was loving and had a pure heart and I loved everyone.

But lately I have not liked the person I have become. I have harshly judged the single mothers in my church and was envoius because they could have babies and I was unable to have children and even though I apologized to those involved the hurt and damage I have caused has been done.

I also became very self righteous in thinking because I waited until I was married I was a better person than those that didn't (I dont feel this way anymore)

I vowed as a child/youth that I would never become mean and arrogant and heart heartned and in many ways I have become all these things that I said I would never be.

My question is this how do I become gentle and loving again to my fellow man? What are godly ways to undo a hardened heart?
Life is too short to be angry, bitter and resenful. Thank you for your answers and Peace be with you.
