I have no idea what they are talking about. I am a Christian and I do go to church. I believe in God and everything, but I have never felt inner peace or true happiness. I honestly don't even know what it is? If the life that we live in was created by society, then in a sense happiness is created by society. How would anyone know when they are happy? How can anyone really be completely satisfied when there are so many bad things in society? How can one be happy when living in sucn an unperfect world? How can God solve all your problems and make you feel at peace when you know that all your questions about life remain unanswered? So what experiences have you undergone that can justify your full trust in God? I mean people are living life stressed out, fearful of failure, not being happy, etc. God can just make all that dissapper?

Give God the control of your life and you will not be disappointed nor exhausted. The peace is with you when you submit to God. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you and in the mean time try to do your best. He is in control if you let Him. : )

I think the key to happiness is sometimes in how we react to allegedly *bad* situations. We can either allow things to torment us, or not. I'm not so sure God has anything to do with it. It's more of a personal state-of-being. Either you create your own hell, or heaven here on earth. That being said - I don't believe ANYONE is completely happy all the time or satisfied all the time. Anyone who says they are both all the time is lying. Experiencing a wide range of emotions is what makes life what it is.

And - on that note - I think most of the time people are "okay". Sometimes they're down. But we wouldn't appreciate happiness and contentment as much if we had them all the time, would we?

It's not right when we say all our problems go away. God tells us " In this world you will have troubles, but take heart! I have conquered the world" We willl have problems no matter what, but we become much happier and close to God when we grow in our faith. It will help us with our problems, and we will begin to feel the joy in us. You might have weak faith, but I can't judge that.
