The word Amen appears 22 times in the old testament and 50 times in the new testament however, there is no scriptures telling of its origin. In the Hebrew translation, it means: "God of Amen". In your opinion, where did this word originate and what is its true meaning.

In Isa. 65:16, the King James Bible has "the God of truth," which in Hebrew is "the God of Amen."

It's egyptian, thats where the hebrew religion came from.

The Egyptians were of a monolatry religion meaning they worshiped ONE God in many forms.

Actually Almost all of the Hebrew religious practices came from the Egyptian religion.

It literally means "true", or "so let it be".

It means that you agree strongly with what the speaker just said.

It is an old Hebrew word.

the word amen doesn't have an exact meaning, its simply a general word to indicate agreement with something that has been said.
