Well someone asked a question about "Pagan Bibles" and i couldnt come up with any sacred texts for Druids and i was wondering if anyone here knows what these would be?

I know that there is at least one Druid here (Chris J)
I know this because he e-mailed me something about Handfasting.

I agree that the ancient Celts were an oral society. This is one of the reasons that the Bards were regarded so highly. They memorized lengthy passages of information. You won't find any ancient Druidic sacred texts. If someone tells you they have one, please know that it's BS.

There are no Druidic scriptures.

Druids insisted on aspirants memorizing the lore of their people without resorting to writing. This has led to the ease with which christianity replaced the Celtic faith once most druids had been eliminated by the Romans as political opponents, and is causing no end of grief to historians who would know better about the history, religion etc of the Celts.

No copies of any genuine Druid sacred writings have ever been unearthed. Druidism was a completely oral tradition. Celts had a written language, they just used it very rarely. What you may see passed around as "Neo- Druid" etc. were written in the 1800sand more recently.

All doocumentation was burned.
Innocent women and children were murdered.

All because of their belifs.
Sounds a lot like the celtic versain of trail of tears.

That's why Wicca IS a new religion, BASED off of what is precieved to be ancient Paganism.
