Belief systems rely on those who support faith in the absence of evidence.
If a bush called our names, if aliens arrived on Earth, or if Richard Simmons won "Sexiest Man of the Year," then it would not destroy religion.
Some would find a way to work the facts into their belief system. This is like what the Catholics have done to the Big Bang theory, claiming that it frames up with Genesis. But others find a way to deny it, again on "faith." This is like the subject of evolution with many American Evangelicals. The point isn't to follow reality. It's to support faith in the absence of evidence, at whatever twist or turn.
I for one would be delighted if any one of these three things happened (except the last). Hell, I'd get a bigger thrill if an omnipotent being (god) walked into our universe and said "Hey, I'm here!" This would destroy my philosophy, but that's the point.
I want to learn about new things because it improves my knowledge of the real world.

How did existence get right here? They nonetheless can't create existence in the lab. they could positioned each and all of the chemical compounds collectively that make up a cellular, yet don't be responsive to what the "igniter" is. existence is a non-provide up technique. How did it get so diverse? this concept of utilising tens of millions of years for slow differences from a dinosaur turning out to be a German shepard or a Budgie poultry is somewhat some distance fetched while there are particular creatures right here that have not replaced for a number of hundred thousand years(crocodiles, turtles and a few others) Oh, how I permit the Biology instructor get away along with his fanciful memories and non solutions. yet i did no longer have those questions in my strategies as i became into yet a student. in fact there is not any available explanation to assert how existence have been given right here(and that's carbon based existence varieties), no longer to show why could single celled existence opt for to do something extra advantageous than be single celled(as they nonetheless exist at present) recognizing different existence varieties potential that it could't be "carbon based". it could besides be silicon based. How can we understand that? we are searching for water. Carbon based creatures in the international choose water. we don't be responsive to if alien existence varieties choose water, or oxygen.

why would that change everything? life on another planet -i think, cool, that wierd guy i dated after high school wasn't a total nut. burning bush - it could happen, but most people would probably just argue about what it said and what it meant and what it . . . . . .
I have spiritual beliefs, but nothing for me is set in stone except that i want to be a good wife and mother and always learn new things, about myself and others. I can't imagine any info new or old that would destroy that.

Ummm... they are called astronauts and they come from our planet to visit the other one.
And, Moses did find a burning bush, it's recorded in the Bible and what he did was... obey ... after a bit of discussion.
There's only thing one thing that could destroy my belief system and it's impossible that would ever happen.

it's impossible to say from only the negative "what you believe is not true"
for instance, I'm an atheist.
the what if would vary greatly based on what appeared to disprove my thinking.
Ériu?
Zeus?
The Christian God?
Thor?
Flying Spaghetti Monster?
