I don't believe in a God, but many people tell me I should...just to be safe.
So, I was thinking of creating a Christian avatar, a Muslim avatar, a Thor avatar, a FSM avatar, a Zeus avatar, etc, etc. Is this the easiest way to be safe? Or do I also need Second Life accounts and all that?

That is just too much work for me.. I stick with one, and drink everytime that Pascal rears his ugly head.
He needs a good shampoo anyway.. fret not, my friend.. you are safe!

You totally should.
I am going to start believing in a god that rewards me with sex and booze. But at the same time, in the afterlife, I get to smite those who tormented me in grade school with eternal wedgies. Of course, if you don't follow this religion, then you end up being on the wedgied.
So, I have a much greater stake in this religion than that fad, Christianity. This is a much better wager, I think.

Believing just to be safe...does nothing for you anyway.
So I would say, just ignore Pascal's wager. Besides, as you hinted...Pascal's wager says believe - but which god or gods?

You will never find a way to appease all the virtual gods till the day you die.
There are too many of them, and they are far too demanding.
Just give up, and live life like you want, isn't that the whole point of living? It is YOUR life after all, not any gods.

Some people are afraid to look up what Pascal's Wager is. They prefer to remain blissfully ignorant, than to have their beliefs challenged.

in case you base your faith in god on pascal's wager you're: *being pretend and insincere to the very essence of what "faith" involves *being wishy-washy *exhibiting which you're too cowardly to take a stance.

Hmm dont know about the other religions, but Christianity requires all or nothing.
I dont know if you can be a muslim and a LDS, but you cant be a christian and anything else.
It requires all or nothing.
