The Bible clearly says that Christians are chosen by God. If you are an unbeliever does that make you made that the fact that you are not a Chrstian is not even your decision? (Even though the Bible does say all are invited to place their faith in Christ, God knows whose character wouldn't allow for that to happen)

People like to say the religious right imposes morals. I would argue everyone does. When you are pro-choice, you tell the father he has no right to the baby and that the baby has no right to it's life. People make rules that there is no prayer in public schools or no prayer before football games. What about paying taxes or no trespassing signs? Isn't all of this really legislations of morality? Isn't it true that everyone legislates morality, it is just a question of whose morality will be legislated?

As the argument continues to rage on this site over which religion is right and true, I thought I would share an astonishing video depicting the amazing capacity of the human spirit when faced with dire circumstances.

In my opinion, the women who saved these horses are most definitely Epona's Daughters. Would you agree?

Watch this video before you come to a conclusion.

Do you network with people from this website? For example, in the course of a day, I email or instant message with probably 20 to 30 people from this website.

I'm just curious who else does and if it makes the expirience as fun for you as it does for me,

and if you don't network with people here for email conversations, what are some of the reasons you don't?

There was a question on here about if the "mentally disabled" and dogs go to heaven.
My question is on the animals. I am not a part of organized religion, I don't believe in it really. So many different belief systems and to many people judging people for who they are or arn't. I am NOT a part of a religion but I know I will go to heaven. I have sinned many times I'm sure but nothing to terrible that I believe God could throw me in hell over.
So back to animals. How exactly can people say that animals have no soul? How can you say that any living creature with emotions (scared, happy, love, hate, trusting, untrusting, etc) have no soul??? And don't even try to say it's instinct. Devotion and love is not instinct.
I believe that when I leave this earth my dog, and my cats, and even my bunny that has passed over through the years will be there to greet me WHEN I get to heaven.
I expect some ridicule for not being a part of a religion...but focus on the question please.

rock and say it was an actual animal, why? Isn't it obvious that these "dinosaur" bones were carved by some kinda ancienct demon worshipping cult as giant sphinxlike statues of their skeletal, reptilian, demonic gods? And then God smited them scattering the bones across the world? Doesn't that make just a little more sense since we've never seen bones actually turned to stone for no apparent reason?

we are not to make any engraved idols? I see millions of Americans idolizing/worshipping money; putting money before God in their lives. I understand American history and our founding fathers, Christians settling here and such. But after all these years and America becoming more secular, I'm surporised that "In God We Trust" is still on our money. Plus God wants us to worship Him, not money. Our money won't save our souls in the end.

Just looking for your thoughts on this. Thanks!

I asked a question about miracles in the bible and other religious literature, and I got several answers stating that our current technology = miracles.
Do you think that's true?
Every age has its own technology....some build using stone, or bronze, or iron, or silicon.
Is the advance of technology the same as the miracles performed by Jesus?

O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Currently chatting, and God said to him.....

"Just when I made you to *finally* teach the humans about Evolution, how I REALLY created them, there are a couple of nutjobs who doesn't believe you. Look down there, they are still arguing about the whole Evolution thing."

They say that she was "without sin": That God removed the original sin from her by making her own conception "immaculate" (removing the original sin part of her parents' sex act), and that she never once had sex, thereby remaining ever virgin.

Jesus' Brothers and Sisters referenced in the Bible, according to the Catholics, are from Joseph's first marriage.

Why is this dogma (Blessed Mary, Ever Virgin) inserted into their religion?
