The Bible is God speaking to us! Archeology has even proven that it is authentic.
The Bible speaks the absolute and profound truth. We all love the truth when it makes us look good, but when it highlites our mistakes, we tend to hate it.

I think the bible was mans best attempt to understand life and the nature of life before the advent of science and reason. It was a hard time to live in, and being able to have an idea of something better waiting for us if we act right makes the unimaginably hard mornings worth waking up to. It was an honest heart warming mistake. We just have learned enough now to be able to see it for what it was.

Do you actually expect Christians to think the Bible is a hoax or a mistake? I believe it is the most reliable source of ancient history in existence. Archaeology has not disproved anything in the Bible.

The Bible is a collection of works from various authors, more of an anthology than an actual book. Several authors were rejected for this anthology for mostly political and not religious reasons.

READ Second Timothy 3:16-17---
"All Scripture is inspired by God and for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness: so that man of God may be adequately equipped for every good work."

God KNOWS us. And He has planned EVERY detail of our life.
I guess the problem, these days, is laying down your life to Christ--so He can take care of you and give you peace like you have NEVER KNOWN before.

Just because YOU do not believe--doesn't mean that God doesn't STILL LOVE YOU, because He does.

It makes Him sad that you won't be broken, and call on Him, to trust Him with your life.

BUT He is ALWAYS THERE--should you change your mind.

It seemed like a reasonable explanation at the time, i.e. the bronze age. Can't blame them for writing it but you can blame people today for believing it.

Why do people deem it necessary to denigrate others believes. Okay, I get it, you don't believe but what gives you the right to cast aspersions on others believes and why does it bother you that we do believe?
