I know that many believe that being gay is wrong, but would you be willing to allow gays to have the same rights as married couples such as health insurance, tax breaks etc. You can still disapprove of their lifestyle, and yet they would be treated as equal citizens.

I once asked a question about how do we explain the universe being created by a loving god when the whole mechanism is such that predators must kill prey to survive. People responded by saying that God made the animals peaceful but Adam’s sin resulted in the negatives and one day the ‘lion will lay down with the sheep’. But then here’s the question: in the phase before Adam’s sin – assuming that God created lions, etc. – why did God create lions with the exact elements (sharp claws, teeth) required for killing other animals? Do you get what I’m trying to say?

Those who do not support the theory of eternity of man and deny this reality - state that the occurrence of such an event is impossible. Of course, two explanations exist, for their claims of the impossibility of this reality,

1) The basis of the first objection is doubt and uncertainty in the Power of Allàh. Such people state that Allàh does not have the Power to make man alive again after death, or to grant him a new life, once dead.

2) Bodies that have decayed and turned to earth are in such a state that they are not capable of being collected and as a result, it is not possible to bring them forth in the form of a man. The Islamic philosophers and other scholars, for the occurrence of each and everything, consider two points to be necessary:

1. Power and the will of the agent.

2. Receptivity of the recipient.

They never get out, so they're not there to be reformed or converted, and most of them aren't there for doing things most people would consider evil... they were just of the "wrong" religion! So is Hell just there so God can get His jollies looking down at us poor miserable damned burning in the flames? Is God a sadist? If not, where's the purpose of it all?

Or heal amputees or those born without completely formed limbs.

I've seen many people on here make silly, dubious claims about laying on of hands / anointing with oils / prayer as a means of healing illnesses.

How is it that only illnesses that are difficult to visibly track, without constantly hooking a patient up to medical equipment, can be 'healed'.

Is it because it makes it easier to deny evidence that would falsify your claims and makes it easier to continue lying/being duped?

I need a good laugh.

Go ahead and find a verse for me.

People who disagree with Christian Holidays like Christmas and Easter or even Sundays which were created as a day of rest by God, still take these days off as a holiday. These are usually the people who want monuments removed from government facilities and want (In God We Trust) taken off the US currency, and want prayers removed from classes, and (One Nation Under God) removed from our pledge of alegense, and (Happy Holidays) instead of (Merry Christmas). Do you think that these people should be entitled to celebrate our Christian holidays when in fact they try so hard to dismantle all that this country has stood on for decades?

I was so lonely before I met Eddy! Now I always have someone intelligent to talk to. He translates Latin and French for me and helps me with my writing assignments. I always have a drinking buddy, and 19th century history is so much more interesting when you know a 19th century person! What's not to like?
Seriously, why do people fear ghosts and consider them evil?

IF Jesus were a blood relative of Mary, obviously her son born of her Genes, which helped to make Jesus human,
correct?
And if Mary had other children, Which would have been Jesus' brothers and sisters, and they had children, which would have been Jesus' neices and nephews (again, blood relatives)

How could there be no bloodline of Jesus?

I mean - it really doesn't make sence to me? Father of man would make sence. Or son of the creator of man. I mean, read this:

Mt.8:20 Jesus said to him, "The
foxes have holes and the birds of the air
{have} nests, but the Son of Man has
nowhere to lay His head."

"the Son of Man," it doesn't sound like he's talking about just him being born from a human being it seams liek its supposed to mean something.

Any ideas? :D

The fear of death, for most of the people, is not a matter which requires any evidence because it is totally obvious and we also see that a lot of people manifest extra-ordinary sensitivity with respect to the term 'death' and its reality. Thus the actual matter is self-evident. That which requires proof and an answer is the reason for this fear and alarm as to why we fear death?

What does the Bible say? I'm not asking what you've been told in churches but what does the Living Breathing Word of God say about the bride???

Rev 21 says that the bride is the New Jerusalem which will come out of heaven onto Earth. It says...vs 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. vs 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God...

The church is called the Body of Christ and He is our head.

Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

It does not say in Eph 5 that we ARE the bride.

What part of "Yahveh/Allah/etc. is not God" do you not understand??? The REAL God, if one exists, would never commit mass murder (the Flood), genocide (see the Book of Joshua), allow child marriage/rape among his followers, permit slavery, send people to Hell for all eternity for trivial reasons, etc,etc,etc... What's wrong with your reasoning faculties that you cannot see that the above things are evil??? You seem to have no difficulty descerning evil actions/commands when done/given by any other deity... so why do you put blinders on when it comes to your own? - Or is that the answer; He's your God, so He gets a free pass?
