I once asked a question about how do we explain the universe being created by a loving god when the whole mechanism is such that predators must kill prey to survive. People responded by saying that God made the animals peaceful but Adam’s sin resulted in the negatives and one day the ‘lion will lay down with the sheep’. But then here’s the question: in the phase before Adam’s sin – assuming that God created lions, etc. – why did God create lions with the exact elements (sharp claws, teeth) required for killing other animals? Do you get what I’m trying to say?

Maybe because God knew that man would choose to disobey, and so He was planning ahead? Can't have fossils inconveniently proving God's existence, after all! Then what excuse could atheists claim?

For the same reason that God created people with finger nails and teeth......We have teeth for tearing, but even if we don't eat meat they are still useful in eating. Also, take a look at panda bears, they are leaf eaters (and bamboo) but if you look at their sharpt teeth and claws that may help you see. You will never get an answer to this question that will please you, because you don't want to accept the truth as THE TRUTH.
Everything was perfect, there were no problems of animals killing other animals (or people, etc.) until Adam's sin. When you are ready to accept the truth, then open your Bible and it will be there, in black and white.

If one can accept the myth of the garden of eden, then one could tell oneself that at that time, lions didn't have sharp teeth. Instead they were magically added as soon as Evie took that fateful bite.

Or...could it be....they came from EVOLUTION!?
