if one accepts Jesus Christ as Savior, then they are saved.
it's all about grace. grace is a gift. none of us deserve it but it's something that we are given anyways. the things we do--- in no way affect that gift. salvation does not come by works but by grace through faith. Read it... it's in the Bible... Ephesians 2:8-10.

I believe that the good cancels out the bad, just make sure that you have enough good things on your side before you die. No, one bad thing doesn't make life not worth living. It is selfish to think that anyone would be better off if they never lived. We touch the lives of every living thing that we come in contact with and in our own little way we change that person's life. We all have a purpose in life and when that purpose has been filled, then it's our time to go. hard part is sometimes we never know what our true purpose is.

Often for one moment of pleasure we can ruin our life and the life of another or more. Casual sex and the girl gets pregnant and they are forced to marry or the girl is forced to raise the child by herself and the father to pay child support and the baby has no father or the child is raised in an unhappy home. Three lives hurting for one moment of pleasure.
High School drug parties and a 17 yr. old goes to jail and receives a Felony. The Felony follows him/her on the job record, the credit report and the application for rental property all the remainder of the person's life.
BUT GOD SAYS, James 5:20, "Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."
Good things do cancel out bad things and vice versa. God can even forgive the murderer if he confesses the sin and lets God change his heart. Being in bondage to sin keeps us from eternal life, but Jesus came and went to the cross so we can have life eternal if we believe in Him. God has a purpose for every life and what we think is not important, it is what God thinks.

The Nazi's advanced medical science a great deal with their torturous experiments on living humans.........was it worth the Holocaust? Unless you are a sociopath the answer is of course a resounding NO.
You do not get points for being either constructive (good) or destructive (bad) but you will be judged and remembered in accordance with your actions.

doing the right thing gives you peace of mind, which helps to drown out the noise of past mistakes...in an earthly sense , but entering into Gods rest is where its at! Why bother with these types of questions...they profit nothing

well there is one thing that can cancel out bad things..and thats repentance and asking God for forgiveness..that is a good thing that will cancel the bad things out..because God said in his word that he would toss all of our sins(bad things) and forget about them..he doesnt bring them back up and rub them in our faces so yes there is a good thing that can cancel the bad thing :)
