Good things and Bad things are basically random events and happen to good and bad people.
Having said that - I believe that good people will tend to be in a better position to have good things happen to them then bad people. For example, a kid going to college, getting married, having a career and family and living in a nice neighborhood vs. a high school drop out who sells and use crack.

There are no free rides in this life friend.....we will all feel the full gamut of emotions at some time or other . All we can do is live as good lives as we can & put our trust in a higher authority .Your theory breaks down when we see " good" things happen to bad people & vice versa.....I rest on the fact that God has ultimate control .

I do not believe that at all.
1) Bush became President
2) Two girls were murdered in a double murder/ suicide the other day because one of the girls advised a friend to break up with her boyfriend. (in Tempe, Arizona)
Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people all the time. Ultimately, all you can say is that things happen to people.

That's not always true, bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people, unless the bad are actually good and the bad things that happen actually turn out to be good, so the good are the bad... and we just have a whole paradox right there.

No, I'm basically a good person and I don't have many good things happen to me. I've worked for everything in my life and I'm being crapped on for it.
Good things happen to criminals, just look at all of the politicians.

Life (good and bad) happens to everyone. Someone who is more constructive in their approach to living will have more constructive things happen to them and vice-versa for destructive people.
You could be as "good" as you want but if you don't take positive action to improve your life, your life won't improve. The same holds true for "good" things, unless you are willing to work towards having "good" things happen in your life you won't experience many of them.

Certainly, our case is difficult and complicated. No one can bear it except a believer whose heart Allah has tried with belief. Our traditions will not be preserved except by trustworthy hearts and (men of) solid understanding. O' people! ask me before you miss me, because certainly I am acquainted with the passages of the sky more than the passages of the earth, and before that mischief springs upon its feet which would trample even the nosestring and destroy the wits of the people.

Thats not true.
Good people are taken advantage of by jealous selfing people (who out number good people 50 -1)
Be good... No matter what happens. Be true to your own heart and to GOD and you will be rewarded with eternal life and happiness.
