What part of "Yahveh/Allah/etc. is not God" do you not understand??? The REAL God, if one exists, would never commit mass murder (the Flood), genocide (see the Book of Joshua), allow child marriage/rape among his followers, permit slavery, send people to Hell for all eternity for trivial reasons, etc,etc,etc... What's wrong with your reasoning faculties that you cannot see that the above things are evil??? You seem to have no difficulty descerning evil actions/commands when done/given by any other deity... so why do you put blinders on when it comes to your own? - Or is that the answer; He's your God, so He gets a free pass?

You're never going to get an actual answer to this question because of the reasons you outlined in your question. They do believe that their god gets a free pass, that there are specific reasons he, she, or it did whatever it did that are legitimate, unlike deities of other religions, which of course, aren't legitimate. Religion is illogical, and the only logic that will be used to back it up will be cyclical and improbable.
I completely agree with you, though I'm more inclined to believe that there is no god.

What part of 'The Lord IS God' do YOU not understand? And who are you to judge God and His motives? You can only see one small part of the total picture, and what you see is skewed by your own bias. If you don't want to believe, that simply means God has not called you to believe. And THAT means we have no mandate to give you any more of the Gospel than you have already received. Please ignore all future Christian posts. There are still others out there that need the Gospel that you have rejected. We're not speaking to you.

If there is a God, then none of us have an exact definition of it. Thus far people have tried to place Gods to explain everything unknown and so far they have all been wrong.

Exodus 33:19
