"Money is the root of all evil". Some of you love to make fun of Christians with this one, claiming that if the verse is true then why give an offering since it's evil. The actual verse is "The love of money is the root of all evil." No where in the bible is there a verse that says "God helps those who help themselves". God gives help to those who call on Him.

i am talking about the reward of God to the believers, in the day of judgement when God judge between his servents, those who will go to Hell and those who will go to paradise. but i don't see many christians saying "you will go to paradise" instead they say heavens?

do you think your reward is on heavens, like hanging on the air? such as you will fly? (i mean respect)

Could it not be said that any iota of knowledge is subject to the warping brought on by language and memory/experiance?

And if so, could it be suggested that everyone is right, in some sense seeing as all you are really arguing about is what to call something relative to what you've already named.

notice "tales" at the end?

[25] And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; and even if they see every one of the Ayât (evidences, verses, lessons, signs,. etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."
Quran 6:25

brothers & sisters of Adam, that's what happend to you,1st God showed you the truth , and you reject him. Then he blocked ur eyes, ears and heart. that's why you don't understand why others believe in God and you don't. peace

Ok, so I think I got some people confused the first time I asked.

This is what I say:

Really. I mean It's almost like racism, but because the believers are of mixed races it isn't considered to be.

Here are my explanations:

1) By "almost like racism" I meant that christians are looking at others, whether believers of other religion or disbelievers, as the confused ones, or not accepting them at all.

2) I brought the "mixed races" part because if christians were of only one race, let's say white, than there would be a question about that this is only the "white man's" religion, but because it's a mix race religion, nobody can touch it.

Just like humans, disease-causing organisms evolve. This is why bacteria become resistant to antibiotics. However, bacteria multipy much faster and have a more accelerated life span than humans, so within a few human generations, we can see how they have evolved- and develop new treatments accordingly.

If you are a person who discredits evolution in the name of creationism, I would like to know if you would feel comfortable being treated by a doctor who also discredits evolution? In other words, would you like to be treated with antibiotics or with prayer?

If that was the case, then how do you know that your religion is the "way" without comparing it to others? If this is the case then it can be best said that you might be a prime example of cultural conditioning and propaganda. I am not telling you to change your religion. I am just saying that there is a whole universe of knowlege out there and locking yourself up to one book is unhealthy in my opinion.

tired of hearing about how evil the Homo-oh-sexuals are?

Yes, I'm judging, Jesus was without sin, not me, that's why we worship him, not me (scary thought)

Where in the bible does it say you must be a believer in god while you are on earth. If I die and end up standing in front of god on judgement day, would it matter if i didn't believe in him on earth. I'd obviously believe in him then.
