Where in the bible does it say you must be a believer in god while you are on earth. If I die and end up standing in front of god on judgement day, would it matter if i didn't believe in him on earth. I'd obviously believe in him then.

If there is an afterlife, obviously you will be able to think. If not, whats it worth. Hell would be pointless as would heaven.

Why a test. Are hindus and buddhists going to hell if they have never been exposed to a bible

It doesn't directly say it, it gives stories about people who don't believe in god and what happens to them. That's why so many Christians don't follow the correct rule, they make an excuse that it never said. So, yes it does say we should believe in god in this life before it is too late, but is says it through lessons. And yes, it would matter if you didn't believe in him, then you are not one of his followers. Heaven and hell are actually completely different. Hell is all torture and pain for all the bad sins in this life. Heaven can't even be explained. It is a beauty far more than any langiage can describe. It says this is the Quran {Muslims} many times, the Bible {Christians} and the Torah {Jewish} many many times.
Last thing...only god will decide whether everybody else will go to heaven, it doesn't matter if they are christian, Jewish, Muslim, or atheist.
Hope this Clarifies!

1. On Earth U have a choice 2 believe in god or not.
2.On judgment day, its obviously too late to choose because then, god sends U where to go during the afterlife.
3.In Hell, U spend an eternity slaving for the Devil, and in Heaven, you are promised paradise and to live with go forever.
4.If U are Buddhist or another religion and have never heard of god or Christianity its not your fault and I think god can make exceptions and teach them the new religion.

John 3:16 is a good starting point (...whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life). This is the most succinct passage. God seeks a relationship with you on Earth. He has given you a free pass into heaven through sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. That's all the free pass you get, to deny Him here on Earth, you won't get the chance after death. God could prove His existence if He wanted to, but because He seeks a relationship with you, he wants you to find out for yourself.

If you are an atheist, then why do you care what the Bible says?
Jesus seemed to make the point that everyone in Hell believes in God. It doesn't seem to help them much at that point, though.

Here's a few passages... John 3:1-21, John 6:9, John 20:31, Romans chapter 10... and so on. I encourage you to look up these verses (and others like them) and read what they have to say so you can decide for yourself. God bless you!

As you proclaim yourself a "proud atheist", why would you even entertain such a thought? It dramatically demeans your position.
One FACT (not open to dispute or discussion) is that you WILL die. We all do.
What happens then depends on your belief in your spiritual being (soul).
I believe, as most Christians, that your decision must be made in your physical being. Again, the need for "faith".

He gives us the option but to get in heaven you must be a believer. Ofcourse to get into heaven varies by religion. Catholics believe you have to get to heaven through the church while Lutherans believe you only to to believe in him

That's almost my point.
I believe that you will be given one final chance to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior before the final judgement occurs.
