If that was the case, then how do you know that your religion is the "way" without comparing it to others? If this is the case then it can be best said that you might be a prime example of cultural conditioning and propaganda. I am not telling you to change your religion. I am just saying that there is a whole universe of knowlege out there and locking yourself up to one book is unhealthy in my opinion.

No, I have studied others: Judaism, Buddhism (Zen), Daoism (Taoism) and Islam. In addition to my Christian bible, I keep a copy of the Holy Scriptures and Dao De Jing next to me. I do not keep a copy of the Qur'an since it contradicts my bible (God's word spoken through the Prophets) which means Muhammad is a false prophet. (God's revelation does not change over time).

In addition, I have studied comparative religions classes as part of my theological training. In these classes, many religions besides those mentioned above.

Before you decided what others should believe, maybe you should start with yourself. For example, the Christians do not say the Jesus is the way, the truth, the life towards the Father, Jesus did. We are only teaching what we are ask to.

Final point: You are a prime example of cultural conditioning and propaganda. And yes you are telling us to change our religion, a religion you know nothing about.

I'm not Christian, but will answer.

Yes, in addition to Christianity, I've studied other religions as well - Islam, Baha'i, Judaism, Hinduism, and Santeria. This isn't an all-inclusive list, but it's more than most people will lend an ear to.

Btw, why do people deny that Christianity is a religion? It IS a religion. The Merrian-Webster dictionary defines "religion" as such:

1 a : the state of a religious b (1) : the service and worship of God or the supernatural (2) : commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
2 : a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
3 archaic : scrupulous conformity : CONSCIENTIOUSNESS
4 : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
- re·li·gion·less adjective

Look at definition 2: a personal set or institutionalized system religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices. Christianity is certainly personal, and it's certainly institutionalized. It's both. Even if it was just one, it would no doubt fit into the definition of "religion." However, it's BOTH personal and institutionalized, so there's no doubt that Christianity is a bona fide religion.

Wikipedia defintes "religion" like this:
"Religion is the adherence to codified beliefs and rituals that generally involve a faith in a spiritual nature and a study of inherited ancestral traditions, knowledge and wisdom related to understanding human life. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to faith as well as to the larger shared systems of belief."

Yup, it's a religion all right.

I have studied other religions mostly among the pagan beliefs and they make more sense to me since I believe the things they believe anyway. I have come to the conclusion that Christianity is not based on Judism as most believe but rather is based on the ancient egyptian religion. In fact there is a book that I'm hoping to get called, Christianity: The Ancient Egyptian Religion

No it is not. I have done studies on Muslim's, Hinduism, Buddhists. I have even looked at the ancient studies of the American Indian. Atheism is another thing I have read and studied about. I like the part of American Indian, the Great Spirit, Hindu's peace and Buddhist peace. Atheism is not for me, just being another animal like a dog does not fascinate me. I have never studied Satanic religions nor do I intend to in the future. Evolutionist have to many holes in their theories. I will remain a Christian. This has the fundamental peace, harmony, spirituality, compassion, and love that I truly believe is possible to achieve.

I've studied just about every religion under the sun. I find it interesting though that you do the very thing that you accuse Christians of doing... first you ask a question, then your explanation demonstrates that you've assume things about Christians that may or may not be true thereby prejudicing your question and showing that you've already decided on the answer. You would think that someone who preaches being open minded would practice it first.

I was forced by my humanities classes to explore other religions for the sake of the grade. I studied Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and many other religions that I can't recall now. I know that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and that God is The Father in Heaven because of my own personal experience when opening myself up to God's call on my life. I know that the bible is true and that God inspired all of it's writings because of my own personal experience of hearing God's voice within me through the scriptures I've studied. Its hard to explain, especially to people who don't believe but that is my own personal testimony on how I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is real and is the only God there is.

No, I've studied other religions, but not b/c I was unsure of my faith. It was to better understand other people. And what I came up w/ was that I can't understand other people. I can't understand how, even though their religion is completely false (scientifically and in other ways), they still don't want to let go of it. They need something to hold on to, even if it's fake. But if you tell them that it's fake or show them something real, they'll get all angry and say how you offend them. It's stupidity. I can't understand stupidities.

Of course not.

First, if you find the best path from point A to point B, why seek other paths? If you find a hidden treasure in one spot, why look in another place? But, to answer your question, I studied several religions in college both Christian and non-Christian. I don't think I had to, but to your point it only served to strengthen my belief in my Christian faith. People who earnestly seek answers will no doubt find them in Christianity no matter what else they research.
