I am really at a cross-roads. I was raised Christian, but have some problems with that, I have been learning about Islam and like a lot of it, but some of it I don't like. I can't seem to give my heart to just one. Is there any faith that combinds the good of these two.

(Please only serious answers)

Of course these are only human opinions of Biblical verses, but "can" be helpful similar to a concordance if the reader keeps instruction from God first and foremost. What are your opinions? Are there any online Bible Commentaries which address verses from all books of the Bible that you use?

New evidence of homosexuality in animals (that parallels similar characteristics of gay male humans) indicates an even greater correlation between biology and homosexuality. In otherwords, there is growing evidence that sexual attraction is innate and therefore not chosen.

(Here's a link to the news story:
http://www.newsday.com/news/opinion/ny-opsal065082076feb06,0,4310349.story?coll=ny-viewpoints-headlines )

So as this evidence continues to accumulate, will Christians and Muslims re-evaluate their stance on the sinfulness of homosexuality, since apparently the creator installed it in a percentage of the population?

What if he was exactly the same, except that he let you out of Hell if you repent? What if he was exactly the same, except that Hell lasted 1 year instead of millions. What if he was exactly the same, except that volcanoes never killed people?

Would that god be more loving than the current one?

A good example of this is never in the bible is a man restricted to one wife. The ten commandments is also translated incorrectly. Adultery is defined as sleeping with another mans wife according to God. Men see it as something different. Murder is forbidden in the ten commandments, killing is not, but it is translated many times as ' thou shalt not kill'. Where in the bible does it ever say anything about a pope being god's representative on earth? The bible makes sense, it is of god, churches and religon do not, they are of men.

Perhaps the way I am picturing this is incorrect, please let me know your input if you think I’ve got it all wrong!
What I have been thinking is that Christians (generally) believe that:
- God made the Universe and all the planets, including Earth and then,
- God made Man, Adam and Eve, one day after completing the creation of Earth
To me, science has proved that man and dinosaurs never co-existed.... SO, this leads me to have a few questions:
*Do Christians believe that God created Man one day after he created Earth and that we've been living here ever since that day of creation? (This just doesn't make sense to me when I factor in the millions and millions of years dinosaurs ruled the Earth.)
*Where did man go at the time of the dinosaurs, if man was created basically at the same time as the creation of the Earth?
*When did man “show up again” after the Dinosaurs were gone?
*And HOW did man come to be again after the dinosaurs were gone?
Please do not be rude to me in your answers. This is such a sincere question; I’m not in any way trying to be offensive to any of you! Thanks all!

I went on Yahoo news this morning and saw the funniest story. Ted Haggard has gone through 3 weeks of intensive counseling and now one of the ministers has said he is sure that he is now "completely heterosexual".

It's absolutely shocking to hear people claim that you can "cure" being gay or bisexual. People are gay because they are gay, not because they are possessed or because they chose to be gay. Considering everything that Pastor Ted had going for him, why would he choose to be gay and ruin everything he had created? If he was possessed, then how could 3 weeks of intense counseling cure him from being possessed? When will people accept the fact that he is gay or bisexual?

For many Biblical events there is no archeological, extra-biblical historical or scientific backing to support the acceptance of the events as factual. For instance the account of Moses and the exodus from Egypt has no support from Egyptian sources. While the location of Jericho has been identified there is nothing that would indicate that great walls were collapsed. Moreover having the sun stand still in the sky, a six day creation, and a global flood are all scientifically untenable.

In light of this, what are your criteria for accepting the Bible as factual while rejecting the texts of ancient Greece, Egypt, or Babylon?

These Middle Eaastern religions create so much ill-will and hatred, but they all talk of peace as if it is their private property. Few people know that between the followers of these brutal manifestations of cruelty, they habeen killing ever more than all other religions put together. Any commen ts?

they have absolutely NO REGARD for the other so-called rules in the O.T. like don't cut your hair, don't shave, don't wear clothes of different material, don't have sex with a women while she's having her period, kill all Witches, kill all adulterers, shun the blind, shun the flat-nosed, don't eat shrimp, enslave your children and kill them if they disrespect you, kill anyone of a different religion, sacrifice animals to God, and don't divorce?

Why do they only pick the "don't be gay" law and completely ignore the rest of them?

And don't give me that baloney about how we don't have to abide by all those laws today because Jesus came to earth to save us. If that's true then we also don't need to look at the "don't be gay" law anymore either.

IT HAS BEEN SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN THAT GOD IS NOT REAL. PEOPLE ARE CHRISTIANS BUT GOD DOESN'T EVEN EXCIST, BUT I GUESS YOU HAVE TO LOOK UPTO SOMEONE FOR HELP. WHO ACTUALLY IS STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE IN GOD? BELIEVING IN GOD IS JUST LIKE BELIEVING IN THE EATER BUNNY.
