The bible says that God "hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto: whom no man hath seen, nor can see (1 Timothy 6:16).

Im confused because Adam and Eve saw God walking in the Garden of Eden. It says they saw him....im not so sure if this is true.

I have ask myself the same question.
I think God is refferring to the light. Being it is so bright, that man can not enter it. it could be the light force that surrounds God, could kill any man that walks into it. And the light is more brighter then the sun.
So if you look at the sun, you will go blind. now mutiply that times the brightness of the sun, since the light God is refferring to is brighter, so go figure.

Because God is so holy and pure that we who are tainted by sin would not survive the encounter. The Bible presents God as both transcendentant, untouchable, unreachable, far, but also as near, intimate, and close to us. These two apparently contradictory aspects are held in tension as often is the case with the truth.

It wants to concentrate power in one singularity. You cannot see god just as you cannot see into a black hole because of the event horizon, nothing can escape not even light
