Intolerance of other people's faiths. Intolerance of people without a faith. Intolerance of science. Intolerance of a woman's right to make choices about her body. Intolerance about sexual liberation. Intolerance about sexuality. Intolerance about change. Intolerance about new idea's.

These are all examples of intolerance that religion often condones, supports, and in many ways is the cause of.When you confront a religious person about one of these examples they will quote a section of their religious texts as if to assume that everyone on Earth believes that the text they are reading from is absolute truth.Which to me also displays arrogance.Must people know that there is probably a religous passage that explains why they are intolerant.And I am sure I will get to hear one or two of them.But that doesn't explain why religion and intolerance seem to go hand in hand.

So why does religion and intolerance seem to go hand in hand?

The more and more I'm on this site, i find so many Christianity bashers... I understand if you don't believe in Jesus, or even God for that matter, but why try and trample other people's beliefs, and then get upset when we Christians get defensive!!! I will be the first to admit the Christians aren't perfect, and the world seems to go over us with a fine tooth comb just to make sure they can find all of them... But why do so many of bash christianity on this site?

It is clear this organization was never formed by Jesus, nor any of his original disciples, yet will this change the mind of any person who claims to be christian and a follower of Jesus? Or are the indoctrination techniques of christianity so strong that people refuse to even acknowledge the overwhelming evidence?

it's about love.. it's about us.. humans.. sacred beings.. blessed beings..
Adam and Eve were naked in Eden.. We are born naked..
Some people still feel disgust or ashamed. but what for ?
it's beauty.. Love and Passion.. Nude just like a child..

If you went to speak to your girlfriends father and your parents to tell them you were going to propose then went to talk to your pastor and a close male friend to let them know, but the close male friend said wait six months or more because you weren't confident enough, you were both insecure, he wants to be wanted and she has an obsessive nature: would you still propose? Because an engagement isn't a marriage, just a promise that you'll be married and you've given your heart to that person and devoted your life to that person?? Or would you wait until you've seen some change to get engaged?

How many anti abortionists oppose condom machines... free or cheap ones in secondary/high schools, even junior hig ones. How many also oppose ultra graphic coverevery thing well before puberty ie 7 years old sex education How many oppose the school seeing contraceptive injections are done on time, pills are taken on time, issuing morning after pills etc. Likewise how many would call a single mother a whore and their child a bas---tard. Or complain about her getting benefits and jumping housing lists? Likewise Anyone know what percentage of anti abotionists support the death penalty, & war on terror/iraq/gun ownership? Was this such an issue in Islam that it needed to be scripture if Muhammad was the last prophet how many people was this scripture written for? Wouldnt a simple note on the prophets door suffice? Is this a corruption of scripture or are you guys still meeting at Muhammad's house for dinner?

In biblical times many men had multiple wives, God even goes so far as to call these men "Just and Righteous." In our modern times the concept of polyamory seems to be causing quite a stir, is it because in following this alternative to monogamy women are also allowed to have multiple spouses/significant others as opposed to polygamy where only men are allowed multiple wives?

(Polyamory n. participation in multiple and simultaneous loving or sexual relationships with the full knowledge and consent of everyone involved.)

And why must they throw around the 'youre going to hell if you dont believe what I believe' card around? Are they so insecure about themselves that they have to judge others? Or what?
