Is there any account of him doing so outside of the bible? I'd think it would have been a big enough event that if it had happened, SOMEONE would have written about it somewhere else.

You know, I wondered about this.
Did Jesus somehow reverse the natural process of human decomposition?
Raising Lazarus from the dead would be a miracle and a second one would be reversing decomposition.
If decomposition was not reversed, Lazarus would not be happy with Jesus for this miracle. I know I would be annoyed walking around partially decomposed.

Jesus' giving life to the dead, healing the blind and the lepers All accepted. They were performed through the will of God
The Islamic view of Jesus lies between two extremes. The Jews, who rejected Jesus as a Prophet of God, called him an impostor. The Christians on the other hand, consider him to be the son of God and worship him as such. Islam considers Jesus as one of the great Prophets of God and respects him as much as Abraham, Moses and Muhammad. This is in conformity with the Islamic point of view of the oneness of God, the oneness of Divine guidance, and the complimentary role of the subsequent messages of God’s messengers. The essence of Islam, which is the willing submission to the will of God, was revealed to Adam who passed it on to his children. All following revelations to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and finally Muhammad were in conformity with that message in addition to some elaboration to define the relation between Man and God, man and man, man and his environment, and to live according to God’s instructions. Thus, any contradiction among revealed religions is viewed by Islam as a man-made element introduced into these religions. The position of Jesus in the three major religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam, should not be an exception.
Although the Qur’an does not present a detailed life-account of Jesus, it highlights the important aspects of his birth, his mission, his ascension to heaven and passes judgements on the Christian beliefs concerning him.

if you can see auras you can see if life is present or not
smell is not a reliable indiicator
back in those times death was or could have been a coma or an astral travel that stayed on beyond time too long
jesus said something about his deciples allways with the miricles
jesus could well have known he wast not decieced by his aura alone ,but for why is it important jesus was a great teacher is this not enough
what is faith built on mirrorcall?
just because he raised the dead is this why you believe?
what is faith?

Lazarus is an anagram in Western Aramaic meaning su'razal, or "good man" or "holy man".
The story only appears in the gospel of John, the last apostle to die and is strangely out of context and heavy in mystical interpretation.
Like anything in the Bible, you can take it one of two ways (1) be a lemming and take it all literally like a good robot, or (2) understanding its key significance which is su'razal is the "Holy One", is Jesus himself. Therefore the symbology of the Lazarus story is that Jesus did not die and that people were out to kill him because of this fact.

Dear Friend,
The Bible teaches that Jesus is the son of God, and not that they are the same being. Consider this in Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
This means that when we are dead, we know nothing. If Jesus was god, and he died at crucifixion, then who raised him from the dead?
The bible teaches us that god is 'One' and that Jesus is his son, was crucified and paid the price for redemption of our sins and for the original sin of Adam. After three days God raised him to newness of life, so that all exercising faith in him might gain everlasting life
Jesus said 'To me has been given all authority on Earth' and he also was gods son. This is how he raised Lazarus from the dead. Because the Holy Spirit gave him the 'Power' and the authority to do so.
I hope this answers your question.
God Bless

He didn't wake him up, cause he can't. But god did, it was a miracle to show others that he is the true messenger of god. How could a god be hit and cruissified!!! Which i believe it haven't been done, which is ironic that a part of my believes can make yours wright. But ur hole belief isn't so perfect.

Well, He's either a psycho crazy man, a liar- cause he claimed to be God... or God, incarnate.
I vote the latter due to overwhelming evidence.

Yeah, and zeus struck him down with lighting right after jesus revived him. Then jesus and zeus duked it out up on olympus mons (figured they'd go to the other mt olympus in our solar system). You're quite delusional, come back to reality whenever is fit for you.

It's not true that he raised Lazarus from the dead. Otherwise you must show us that Lazarus, now!
