Islam means Submit to God.

Do you submit to the Goddess?

If so how? And how far?

How far will you go to be in unity with your creator? ( will you do battle with evil)? If so how?

Are you there for passive to the globle strife?

Clearly, when Jesus Christ was on the Earth He taught only ONE faith and established ONE church. What He preached during his earthly ministry was HIS Gospel, devoting His life to accomplish the will of His Father.

It's very obvious that Jesus wouldn't teach to join just ANY church...He would want His brothers and sisters to join HIS Church. But which one is it?

The only Churches that currently have any leg to stand on are the Catholics and the Mormons, primarily because they both claim to be established by the Divine inspiration of God. Both claim to hold the Holy Priesthood Authority, or the right to act in the authority of God, a gift that the Lord gives unto His children but ONLY if they're worthy to receive it. Of course, this Priesthood is only carried by men, or the Sons Of God, in order to use to bless their family members and friends. The gift wouldn't do any good if the worthy male commits sin because then the Spirit of God will have left that individual.

I am attending a Jewish synagogue with my friend for a world religions class I am participating in. While she has gone over a few basics with me (we’ll go on Saturday, we don’t sit with the men, wear a skirt, etc), I really don’t know what to expect or plan on. Can anyone (preferably people of the Jewish faith) help me by telling me what to expect and what I should do so that I do not offend anyone?

So much has gone
and little is new
And as the sunrise stream
Flickers on me,
My friends talk
Of glory, untold dream, where all is God and God is just a word

"We had a friend, a talking man
Who spoke of many powers that he had
Not of the best of men, but Ours

We used him
We let him use his powers
We let him fill Our needs
Now We are strong

And the road is coming to its end
Now the damned have no time to make amends
No purse of token fortune stands in Our way
The silent guns of love
will blast the sky
We broke the ruptured structure built of age
Our weapons were the tongues of crying rage

Where money stood
We planted seeds of rebirth
And stabbed the backs of fathers
Sons of dirt

Infiltrated business cesspools
Hating through Our sleeves
Yea, and We slit the Catholic throat
Stoned the poor
on slogans such as

'Wish You Could Hear'
'Love Is All We Need'
'Kick Out The Jams'
'Kick Out Your Mother'
'Cut Up Your Friend'
'Screw Up Your Brother or He'll Get You In the End'

I just had a post relating to a humorous take on Zodiac signs. Not intended to be hateful but intended to create a more humorous side of this forum.

I will continue to post this humorous take on Astrology despite any deletion.

Thank you all for my convictions and strength to stand up to the Nazi Yahoo community.

It's just the nature of man. Religion was essentially created from boredom and loneliness, and those two things are a result of natural selection. Extremism can't be helped. There will always be people with tribe-mentality because they're so closed off from education and mass media. It all starts with geographical barriers that prevent exchange of ideas. And plus, man is a social creature. We don't live for ourselves, we live for the people who remember us. And since most relationships fade with time, it seems natural for people to resort to God. As for all the violence, man is just a vicious animal. It helped us survive this far.

I bought a dress today and I think it is very cute, but I don't know if it's okay to wear. It is short-sleeved and it covers my entire chest up to my collar bone, so the top part is fine. The thing that troubles me is that it cuts off exactly at the tops of my knees. Is this okay? Is a dress that's at the tops of the knees considered immodest or slutty? It's sort of like a "baby doll" style, so it is not tight at all. Tell me what you think!

I was at the river one day walking. I had swam in the river many times and new it was very swift with undertow and current and took a very good swimmer to attempt to cross it. I had walked to a point that was quite treacherous and saw a young man about 14 who had just made it across. I looked at the expression on his face and new that he was thanking God that he had made it. He almost drowend and new his life had been spared. He had two younger brothers and a very small sister who were on the other side still. They were getting in the water about to attempt to cross. The boy on the other side cryed out to his family don't cross, please dont cross. They didnt listen, he pleaded dont cross but they continued, Thank you Jesus! I screamed at them get out of their! I new what the boy pleaded with them for, they didnt cross. Three peoples lifes were saved that day. Will anyone listen to the Prophets.

As a Christian, I am often accused of believing in a delusion. However, if there is no God, then there are no universal ethical truths. Belief in “right” and “wrong” are just as fictional as a belief in God. Most people would agree that “molesting children is always wrong,” or “genocide is always wrong,” regardless of a particular person’s personal beliefs or cultural background. Yet if God is not real, one’s moral feelings and thoughts about those issues are delusions. If you have abandoned your belief in God, have you abandoned your delusional belief in universal “right” and wrong?” If not, why not?

This a recent post on R&S. Wouldn't this person prefer to do nothing about global climate change and pollution in order to hasten the coming of the end time?

"In the Bible, God tells us that he will put to ruin those who are ruining the earth. He will not allow anyone to destroy it. Armegeddon will come first and then the 1000 years of clean up getting it back into the perfect state that God intended for it."

Why can't they just practise their own religion without trying to force everyone else to follow it in public places and institutions?
Is it because all religions are a form of social control?

But sometimes these beliefs that you carry from your childhood can be harmful. What is the best way to rid yourself of years & years of beliefs that are harmful? I've tried therapy but it's really hard to get past & dispel things taught by parents who did the best they could & then of course there's the religious belief's. This is a tough one.
