The more and more I'm on this site, i find so many Christianity bashers... I understand if you don't believe in Jesus, or even God for that matter, but why try and trample other people's beliefs, and then get upset when we Christians get defensive!!! I will be the first to admit the Christians aren't perfect, and the world seems to go over us with a fine tooth comb just to make sure they can find all of them... But why do so many of bash christianity on this site?

I've been around many people who think differently than me... I have family members who think differently then me. I have open dialouge with friends of other religions and no religions at all, but we always keep a respect for each others beliefs... but its seems like those that don't believe in God always try make those that do feel ignorant... why can't we just disagree, you can decide if my beliefs are worth accepting and so can about yours, no one has to call the other ignorant!!!!

There is a hidden agenda. If they can get rid of God, they can get rid of sin since it is God who makes the rules of right and wrong. Without rules they can live as they want and so it is important to them that they make Christianity look bad.

The Christian belief has justified millions upon millions of murders over the centuries. Impaling people, burning at the stake bombing abortion clinics, murdering Doctors that work at the clinics King Richard crusade. The nut's on the street corners screaming religion at people they don't know. The religion camps breeding extremists and the list goes on. However your wrong about it being just Christians, it's religion as a whole that people feel defensive about. I'm a Christian however I keep a check on it.
How many none believers have you seen topple a country or start a war over it?

Hi Brittiny. Your early repliers like me are not Christian bashers. And I am a Christian. Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ and his love for you as you continue in this site.

Also if you get down because of reading all that just use the advice found in Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." That's the King James Version

I hope this helps and just know you are not alone. Just think when they bashed Christians in general you thought they were bashing only you. And if God is being bashed too then..you are in great company! Have a good one.

Because of the ignorant, arrogant behavior of the Christians here. You don't need a "fine tooth comb" to find Christians' flaws here: it's hard to find any sign here that Christians are interested in anything other than insulting others and demonstrating utterly shocking ignorance and immorality. There are others who are rude as well, but the Christians are all but uniformly poorly behaved.

The reason you're so dismayed at this, I think, is that you've not been around people who think differently from you, and when there's no dissenting voice there you don't recognize the ignorance and arrogance of your position.

We're not "trampling" your beliefs - we're simply pointing to their rather obvious flaws. You can't defend your beliefs, but you've never been asked to before. I understand why it's frustrating, but you need to understand that the problem is in you.

If Christians want people to stop calling them ignorant, they should stop posting ignorant questions and answers. The reason I disagree with the creationists' posts or Christians' comments about atheists, to pick the dominant examples, is because those posts range from ignorant to astonishingly ignorant. If you're going to post something here you should expect that it will get comments. If it's something that's astonishingly ignorant, you should expect that someone is going to point that out.

If Christians don't like that, their options are to stop posting, or to start posting things that aren't ignorant. Don't expect the rest of us to become dishonest just to accommodate you. That's just rude and arrogant. The world doesn't revolve around you. Accept it.

Because I do not believe in turning the other cheek, if a Christian insults me, I have no problem returning the favor. I do not go out of the way to "bash Christianity" and to be honest I think many Christians have a martyr complex, you seek out persecution by the things you guys post.

have you ever heard someone scream a lie so passionately that it gathered many people. draping this lie was the promise of beauty and love and truth. then you see that these groups begin to fight over who's lie is the one true lie. so much violence bestows the planet, but these followers only see the beauty and the love, not they're willingness to cover thier eyes from the evidence around them, that parts if not all of what they preach are wrong or immoral.
they protect they're group by cherry picking ideas that were forged long ago in a less civilized time. saying without these stories you have no bases for morals, not understanding, if its only the fear of punishment that we abide by such morals, than we are surely a sad race.
i feel compelled to reach these people. in my opinion there are still some people in middle, not sure what to believe and before they fall to the pressure of conforming to the belief structure of they're family or friends, i want them to open they're eyes and see there are other options. you wont be alone if you choose another path. spiritual enlightenment does not demand blind faith.
i'll stop before i really start to ramble

Not many. One million people keep on criticizing ten times may give the impression that ten million people are hating; and even ten million, it is nothing among the 6 billion peaceful and silent people on earth.
More individuals among the silent mass will raise their voices, contribute their efforts in the right direction of love, of peace, of prosperity for all the human race. With the tremendous expansion of knowledge, our time now is no longer the time for cheating, dominating, exploiting unjustly as it was in the previous centuries.

I simply defend myself. If someone feels like being a jerk to me, I can easily be one back. Probably not the most mature route, but this is the internet after all. I have no problem with christians. My fiance is one. But he doesn't try to force me to believe what he does and he loves me just the way I am.

Conservative Christianity is genuinely bad because they're intent on spreading their ideology. Normal Christians or straightforward belief in God I have no issues with.

All regions have hardliners and bashers of other religions.

Belief in any form of God is believing in God.

Putting defense or attacking position in the name of God shows only lack of faith in divinity.

Dear Friend,

It is inevitable that following Christ will bring a negative reaction from some people

John 15:18-21

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you... If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you... because they do not know Him who sent Me."

Matthew 10:16-20

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues....But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."

Dear friend do not worry, think of how much joy that following Jesus has given you, Think on how the truth has set you free, remember what the lord has promised to you.

Davis said in Psalms:

I put my trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?

Remember the hope you have, you are truly blessed.

God Bless You
