Hi, yes I do believe because as a Spiritual Medium of many years, I am in communication with them. Ghosts tend to be an 'imprint' of an energy, in other words they are not 'real' - a trace ofspirit energy left behind when they depart the earth plane. Spirits are manifestations of souls/spirits who have passed on into the spiritworld, or are earthbound. Spirits can either be seen clairvoyantly (in the mind's eye) or as a manifestation (as if you were seeing the earthly person). I mostly see by clairvoyance, but I have seen a manifestation too. I also hear (clairaudience) and feel (clairsentinence) spirit.

Believe in the existence of: spirits, yes. Ghosts, not so much.

Hi,Ilona,
I believe we are spirit beings,on our current earthly journey in this rather fragile body.
After death,our spirit will dwell in one of two states,depending on how we are judged by the almighty.
As for Ghosts,I believe that buildings,under the right circumstances and environment,can play back images in the same way a video tape or vinyl disc plays back.
Experiments with a 2000 year old potters wheel and modified gramophone needle that 'played' the grooves on the pot picked up the sound of the original potters wheel and children laughing and playing,so anythings' possible......

I do.
I believe a spirit can exist on its own, as well, not just "inside of a body".
But I don't believe in the "movie version" of ghosts.

I don't believe, I KNOW that they exist 'cos I have seen one, which a relative has also seen (the exact same person/spirit) in the exact same place, at a different time. I have also done a Ouija board, but I would not recommend this as it can be extremely dangerous, allowing for possession or invitation into your home.

I do for two reasons:
1. When I was first born my parents told me that my great grandmother who died just before I was born came back to visit me!
2. I think our house is haunted!
I don't think that ghosts are anything to be scared of - but then I've only had experiences with friendly ones!

and they are quite different
ghosts are residual energy that lingers after a person has frequented a place often ... much like the energy you feel when you walk in a room , but this energy can often be strong enough to be seen as well as felt , it is not conscious
spirit is the part of us that lives on after death , it is conscious and is rarely seen in the same way as ghosts are , but more in a mental telepathic way via a medium

Since you posted the question under Religion I expect you are looking for a religious answer.
The bible is very clear there is no such thing as Ghost.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy are now perished; neither have they any more a portion forever in any [thing] that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 (KJV)

i believe in spirits but i don't believe in ghosts which are in movies.
