Of course. We aren't photosynthetic. The only way energy gets into our bodies is through food. We burn calories and carbs.

Not the only source, of course... there is the life energy that is maintained by external fuels and lubricants... but a star is in each of us. We can contract and expand it at will, also we can limit it by negation. Names of consideration: Chi/Qi, Prana, Kundalini...
