This has always been a difficult subject for me because I have done a lot of research that supports that homosexuality is genetic. I also love and respect many homosexuals. But, I also love Allah and I know what both the Bible and the Qur'an say about homosexuality... So, I remind myself that we are told to love all people and to let God judge them, and that is what I do.
I don't think that Christianity or Islam will ever change its position on this subject, but people as individuals CAN learn to love, respect and tolerate others even if they don't agree with how they live.

In the early 90s scientists began to have a vast consensus that homosexuality was largely genetically based, the evidence in undeniable. Over 50% of identical twins(one zygote, same genes) pairs, where one member is gay, the other is also gay. In normal siblings, this percentage is about 5%. These are not small studies. Several peer reviewed studies have confirmed the same results.
And no, I doubt they will stop the oppression, they really are no better than racists.
God's Child- One can NOT be predisposed to alcoholism. When the brain perceives a pleasurable experience, the chemical dopamine is released. Some individuals produce too much or an unbalance of the chemical, leading to addictive behavior in general to dopamine releasing activity. The chemical dopamine has nothing to do with sexuality, unlike alcohol.

The true point of sex is procreation. I don't see any evidence that suggests that the anus is a womb. Men and animals cannot be compared. Animals are instinctual by nature, where man has a thinking process that can help deduce right from wrong. Religion will not re-evaluate SIN due to "scientific discovery" Otherwise they'd might as well accept evolution and to HELL with God!

OK, you want to debate homosexuality based on your statement? I'll insist you pick a side and stick with it. No flip flopping.
So, is your argument that homosexuals are thinking humans that make the conscious choice to involve themselves in homosexual acts that otherwise they could remove themselves from or is your theory that homosexuals are less evolved than heterosexual humans and take on the characteristics of animals driven by natural instinct instead of logic?
Pick a side. You can't have it both ways.
By the way, It's all I can do to keep a full-time job, raise the kids, clean the house, mow the grass and go to church. I don't have time to oppress anyone.

I have been looking for that article, thanks.
Seems like God needs sheep in order to populate hell as well as humans eh?
I am guessing that Muslims and Christians will not change the stance of Sinful Homosexuality as it is pretty clear in both books, that God doesn't like it. As evidence mounts, the story will have to change to, Satan found a way into the womb and forced Gayness into those individuals.
Of course the Bible is clear on other things being a sin, like eating pigs, women in church and animal sacrifice, but Christians have found a way to overlook those rules. It is striking that Homosexuality is so irritating to Christians, you would think with all the male only activities in churches they wouldn't be so worried about it.

No!
Homosexuality is wrong just like ALL sin is wrong.
We are all "born in sin" yet called away from it. Being predisposed to sin is nothing new...we all are.
Pedophiles could also claim they are "born that way" as a matter of fact I believe there may be a lot of evidence to back up that as well. But that certainly does not make it acceptable.
Saying that, let me mention that my sister-in-law is actively gay...she's had many girlfriends...all of whom I have liked. They have been to our family get-togethers, Christmases etc. etc. I love my sister-in-law and I pray for her. I feel absolutely no hate or anger towards her. I do not feel anger or hate towards any one burdened with this...
But God has said it's wrong...that is enough for me.

No. Why do you think God himself destroyed Sodom and Gamorrah??
It's an abomination. It is a direct mockery of God's creation. Adam and Eve.
When in the right context sex is a way of showing love, between a man and a woman. Sex in the Bible is only good when showing love to your spouse and procreating.
All other desires that are acted out is in the form of Lust. This is what makes it a sin.
I personally don't care what others do in their own private time between consenting adults. But I don't have to ACCEPT it. I don't have to SEE it, nor believe that what is being done is right.
If the gay community feels that they are doing nothing wrong, then so be it. Why do you need our blessings on it???

Animals do not have the ability to reason whether they will procreate or not. Nor do they know a sense of right or wrong. It is instinctual.
Humans are different. We have the ability to CHOOSE.
And if God meant for 2 beings to have an attraction for the same sex, He would have made them able to procreate by themselves. If left alone, two homosexual animals would make themselves extinct. Do you really think this was the way God intended it?
And if you don't believe in God, would "natural selection" allow a species to make the "norm" a means for a species to become extinct?

I wont. The bible is very clear on what is a sin and what is not.
People are also "prone" to addiction, sexual immorality, lying, cheating, murder, abusing others... are we going to be ok with that as well, because its "biological"?
I fully support the theory that people are born with sexual attraction to those of the same sex. It doesnt make it right. Very small children bite, hit, lie, and hate... and we punish those activites.

Those morons will never stop hating. I've had to explain to people like them, my entire life, that I was born gay and they just don't listen. They only hear what they want to hear. I've never met a more hard-headed group before. They tell me I chose it. Trust me, if I could choose, I'd choose to be just like everyone else so I could quit being treated like a freak of nature. Just look at some of the answers you got. "It's a sin. The bible is clear on what's a sin." blah blah blah. Apparently God taught sheep to talk.
