i am so sorry to hear about your losses... that is terrible.

but you know... i am not sure if this will help you much.. but i feel like ive gotta try.

the reason things like this happen.. from my point is..

earth is a miserable place... we can only imagine how perfect it is in heaven.. i mean why would you want someone you care and love here on earth, when they can be in perfection in the afterlife?

for me, its been about 2 years now since i lost my cousin to a heart attack. he was... well.. i never knew my father.. and i looked up to my cousin more than any male i have ever known.. his death.. it was such .... it was very hard for me. but the way i see it.. my cousin is happy now.. happier then he could have ever been here on earth... and yes i do miss him... but i dont hate god for taking him away from me....

but as for you and your situation.. about the long death.. well... your friends.. they had faith... they loved god... and god loves them... god chose them to go through this because god knew that they were strong enough to deal with it. also, so everyone who knew them could grow stronger....
bad things happen so we can gain wisdom and stregenth.

i hope the best for you...

2 years ago I lost 2 friends in the space of a week. I was never the most religios person int he world anyway (the only time i visit church is for a wedding) and after that happened I lost all faith - trust me you dont need faith in God - it's all a load of rubbish. I'm no worse off now that when i slightly believed in God.

I would suggest reading the book, Driven By Eternity, by John Bevere. I think it will get you back on track. I hope you will buy and read the book soon.
