That depends on what you mean by saying that. Christians have to engage in spiritual warfare because there is a war going on between the forces of God and those of the Devil, between good and evil. It is to be distinguished from the usual meaning of warfare, which is war fought with guns and bombs. It is not physical but spiritual. In spiritual warfare, we are fighting against not people but against spiritual forces of evil. And the weapons used against evil are truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God (Ephesians 6).

Although we are in a sense warriors for Christ, in the current climate of real rather than metaphorical warfare, i would caution Christians about calling themselves such because it can make them sound like millitant, violent people. Similarly, the Islamic word Jihad means not only a crusade or holy war, but also the inner spiritual struggle to live a holy life, but because of the current climate Muslims should beware how they use the term.

First of all Gary, you calling her a moron is contradicting the Word of God in many ways. Secondly, the connotation of warrior is most commonly a brutal soldier, when in reality the definition of warrior is One who is engaged energetically in an activity or cause.

I would call myself a warrior for Christ because I am absolutely, 100 percent engaged in the Cause.

No, the god of the Bible is pretty darn brutal and sadistic. It seems like he revels in the blood of children and the innocent. In fact warriors is probably too gentle a term. How about homicidal manics for Christ?

Its just a figure of speech. Warrior for Christ mean that attitude is that of a warrior. Conversion and all that sort of thing. IT doesn't literally mean the warrior who kills and mames.

No, its a term used for those who practice spiritual warfare, not physical warfare.

I am not a warrior, I am a weapon of God, hopefully a good weapon.
