I have always been interested in religion but now I really want to learn about it. I do not follow any particular religion, but that just makes it all the more interesting to me. Speaking sincerely, I really want to know about every different religion. Tell me about yours?

Teaching #1 from the Book of Chuck, chapter one, verse one:

Chuck, 1:1
In the begining was the Word, and the world knew him not, and the world was void and without RAmen. And the Word said "Let there be noodles," and so it was done. And the Word looked at the happy faces of his children and said, it is good. And the Word called his servant Chuck to write down whatsoever the Word did utter, and thus it was done.

This is all I shalt reveal this day. Blessing to you my children.

KJV - But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. NKJV - But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. YLT - and let endurance have a perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire - in nothing lacking.

...and what about loving your enemy?

Is it my imagination or are We Americans following the POPULAR vote which is lead by The Christian Majority? The War in Iraq is UNCONSTITUTIONAL-it is denying Our service men the ability to enjoy Their American Freedoms. I believe that if we leave Iraq that the tribes of islam will continue to hunt and PREY upon oneanother and we will not have to lose our young people to them. But even though We have not found Weapons of Mass Destruction, Chemical Agents and Saddam Hussein is dead-We continue to dominate this region with our views. Lets just do what we did in Vietnam and bring All the people of Iraq who are fighting for OUR side here to America. On No? What are you going to do with the refugees we leave behind?

This seems to occur esp. in the Religion/Spirituality sectoin. When ever you ask a question to make a point you automatically will only choose a best answer that agrees with you and not a logical explanation to your question.

Why is it that people do this? Can't people just ask a sincere question?

A friend of mine just sent me a link to this news story about an independent film 12 year old actress Dakota Fanning is starring in.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/24/sundance.fanning.ap/index.html

My question is this - do the people who are protesting this film somehow think that if no one makes films like this, real-life cases of abuse will just go away? If we ignore that this happens, it won't be real? Or should we not make films about this kind of abuse because it will break our moral fiber? Why? Wouldn't you think that something like this would raise our awareness to child abuse and molestation, and the shame and fear survivors have to live with?

For all of you who are going to say "Typical atheist comment", I'm Wiccan, and believe deeply in "right" and "wrong", so please spare your judgement on my character.

Does the Bible try to convince people that God-belief is right because only smart people believe in God?

Is it God belief like smoking in the high school bathroom?

The Tower of Babel (Babylon) was being built in an attempt for man to reach Heaven, but God destroyed it and made people speak various language so they could not attempt to rebuild it.

My question is, why did God destroy the Tower when humans have sent multiple manned spacecraft so high into the sky as to leave the atmosphere?

I feel don't deserve to be called a Christian. I sin a lot. I want to repent, but I just can't. It's like I'm addicted to it. I watch internet porn and masterbate all the time. Everytime I feel bad about it. I want to live a pure Christian, but I seem to fight a losing battle. I pray a lot to overcome it, but simply I can't. Father please forgive me.

Since when was the term "macro-evolution" considered valid? Sounds like the anti-evolutionists perceive modern evolutionary theory as a parody of pokemon. I'm sorry, fundies, but the world doesn't go from charmander, to charmeleon, to charizard.

There is no "micro" or "macro" evolution. There is evolution. Dictionary.com defines evolution as "any process of formation or growth; development." Genetic evolution is the process of one species adapting and growing according to environmental stimulus and natural selection. What you are thinking of, when you think of the laughable term, "macro-evolution," is call speciation. Speciation is defined as "the formation of new species as a result of geographic, physiological, anatomical, or behavioral factors that prevent previously interbreeding populations from breeding with each other." So, by saying you believe in "micro-evolution," you're really just saying you believe in evolution.

The apsotles taught us to look to Christ for all the answers Christ is the Word of God. That is important because in the Word of God is the truth. Notice the "Word became Flesh" = Jesus became a human being" then the man Jesus became the "eternal high Priest". But he is still also the WORD of God.
So our instruction is from the apostles to abide in the Word of God. Both in the spirit of the Word (christ) and in the writen word. They are both intwined.
When any group of people are telling you to look at this and that and not the word they are leading you away from God and Christ. When men claim they have some speacial understanding or some special relationship with God they are point you away from God. All members of the body of Christ are equal according to God.
So if you church is promoting things not in contained in the bible it is pointing away from God and Christ. The word of God is profitable for the casting down of imaginations. That is the a scripture.
