Last night, me and 8 other guys held a bible study and REALLY got into God. It was amazing. I was speaking in tongues and prophecying over the lives of my friends. The power was incredible. I was on my face before God.

Can logic explain that?

If so, from whose point of view is it explained?

Did you know that you can expierience God?

I used to look up questions about Mormons here, but now the search box doesn't seem to work. Anything with "or" in the word has been removed (i.e. form, dorm, storm, floor, etc is unsearchable). Anyone know a way around this? It's been over a week now. Yahoo team, you can answer too.

“Surely, His is the creation and commandment. Blessed is Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!

[al-A’raaf 7:54 – interpretation of the meaning]

The creation of the heavens and the earth, the alternation of night and day, the different kinds of inanimate objects, plants and fruits, the creation of humans and animals… all of that indicates that the Almighty Creator is One with no partner or associate:

“That is Allaah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turning away (from Allaah, by worshipping others instead of Him)?[Ghaafir 40:62 – interpretation of the meaning]

The variety and greatness of these created things, the perfect way in which they are formed, the way in which they are maintained and controlled, all indicate that the Creator is One and that He does as He wills and rules and decides as He wants

Abraham's children by Cetura; his death and that of Ismael. Isaac hath Esau and Jacob twins. Esau selleth his first birthright to Jacob.

Book Of Genesis
Chapter 25
1 And Abraham married another wife, named Cetura: 2 Who bore him Zamran, and Jecsan, and Madan, and Madian, and Jesboc, and Sue. 3 Jecsan also begot Saba and Dadan. The children of Dadan were Assurim, and Latusim, and Loomin. 4 But of Madian was born Epha, and Opher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaa: all these were the children of Cetura. 5 And Abraham gave all his possessions to Isaac.

6 And to the children of the concubines he gave gifts, and separated them from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, to the east country. 7 And the days of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five years. 8 And decaying he died in a good old age, and having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people. 9 And Isaac and Ismael his sons buried him in the double cave, which was situated in the field of Ephron the son of Seor the Hethite, over against Mambre; 10 Which he had bought of the children of Heth: there was he buried, and Sara his wife.

(6) "Concubines"... Agar and Cetura are here called concubines, (though they were lawful wives, and in other places are so called,) because they were of an inferior degree, and such in scripture are usually called concubines.

11 And after his death, God blessed Isaac his son, who dwelt by the well named Of the living and seeing. 12 These are the generations of Ismael the son of Abraham, whom Agar the Egyptian, Sara's servant, bore unto him: 13 And these are the names of his children according to their calling and generations. The firstborn of Ismael was Nabajoth, then Cedar, and Adbeel, and Mabsam. 14 And Masma, and Duma, and Massa, 15 Hadar, and Thema, and Jethur, and Naphis, and Cedma.

16 These are the sons of Ismael: and these are their names by their castles and towns, twelve princes of their tribes. 17 And the years of Ismael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven, and decaying he died, and was gathered unto his people. 18 And he dwelt from Hevila as far as Sur, which looketh towards Egypt, to them that go towards the Assyrians. He died in the presence of all his brethren. 19 These also are the generations of Isaac the son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac: 20 Who when he was forty years old, took to wife Rebecca the daughter of Bathuel the Syrian of Mesopotamia, sister to Laban.

Living to die all in wait? Or is there more behind this world than that?
Every one religion believes that they are in the right, so how can a person be so sure he is in the right?

Sorry for the many questions, but these are very few of the ones that run through my mind daily.

In my personal opinion, i believe there is but ONE God. I'm a Born-again Christian. I do not like referring to this as a religion only because this is all too true to me, and religion is all of the other beliefs...

OK, I know I will probably get slammed from all sides on this, but I wonder why theists don't embrace the big bang?

As I understand it (and correct me if I'm wrong), the force of the explosion had a very narrow allowable range in order for a life sustaining universe to be the result. Too much force and everything flies apart and you have no galaxies, no stars, no planets, just a bunch of matter flying off in all directions.Too little force and everything implodes in on itself.

Again, as I understand it, there was a very narrow range for an explosion that led to the universe as we know it.

To me this is not evidence of a creator in the strict sense. But it does allow for the opinion that something guided the first moments of the universe. Yet I see many theists (and specifically Abrahamics) rejecting science in general and the big bang in particular.

My understanding of creationism is that we were "created" to worship "god". As such, we are pleasing "god's" inferiority complex and ego by dancing and praying for the purposes of pleasing it. We have no other purpose, quite similar to slavery. A slaves purpose is to do its masters bidding, how is this different from creationism? Especially if your master loves you, but still uses you?

I just asked a question about evolution, and why we can't just use the terms evolution and speciation. Then I presented a challenge that people tell my why two separate colonies of a species, in two separate conditions, the arctic tundra, and the amazon rainforest, could not evolve into separate species. Let's assume we start with amoeba colonies.

Why, after several millions of years, would the amoeba in alaska not become snow worms, and the amoeba in the rainforest an aquatic microscopic predator?

Remember, instead of just presenting logical arguments, present sources! I don't want any numbers or percentages without references!

Today we learn how to debate, children!
