Or you could choose of these two:

-Indoctrination/Conversion to the Christian faith.

-Being born again; expieriencing God, making a personal choice

"I tell you the truth, except a man be born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God"

-Jesus

Matthew 7: 24 - 27

"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock.
"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
"And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand.
"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it."

I think its terrible. My church just recently sold our betiful organ, threw out the hymmnals and now just sing so called priase chorus'and play modern so called christian music. Those of us who protested this move were told to get with the times. Christians are supposed to be a light in the darkness, not add to the darkness

You know how christians will often compare stories about the rotten horrible things they did before Jesus found them? Well, what's the rottenest thing you did when you were a Christian?

For me it was getting rid of a lot of great music. And being a creationist jerkwad to my friends, who were very patient with me.

I have had questions about religion in the past and all people do is mock my beliefs. Let me guess, they have no friends, because it is at the height of ignorance to show utter contempt for other's beliefs, why can'y you accept that we are all different? Would you like if we were all ignorant pricks, with the same beliefs. Any decent person would respect me for my beliefs.

I would guess you were.

Statistically, there are 2.1 billion "Christians"

Tell me this:

If 12 MEN COULD CHANGE THE WORLD 2000 YEARS AGO, WHY CAN'T 2.1 BILLION DO IT TODAY?!

hehe.

Not everyone who calls himself a Christian is one.

Define for me what you think a 'Christian' is.

My guy and I have been together for quite a while, are both on Pagan paths and are committed to one another. Neither of us are real interested in a traditional legal marriage. I am wanting to, I guess, bring handfasting up to him. In a way, I guess, I'm wanting to propose.. Any suggestions on how to do this in keeping w/ the older ways??

So, just for the sake of this question, let's just say that God DOES, for a fact, exist. (Hypothetically) We, as humans, sin...yes? Established? Okay, now if we agree on this, I must bring up a question that has been bothering me for quite some time now:

Why is it that Humans are taught to REPENT, when we did not ask to be created? God created us as an experiment?? How is this justified by any means?

And no, I do not mean to be rude to anyone, and I apologize now if I have offended anyone, but I am only trying to better understand...if that's even possible.

Writers are taught to write a good story one must base it on some truths. I do believe there is an energy that is linked to all religions and is generally the one each religion calls God by different names.

What I do not believe is basically in the different religions and their books. We are taught to look for the truth. If each story/religion owns a truth; is this the collection of truth that will bring us to the truth of what the Spirit/God/ is?

If a person was unable to make memories while still being self aware. He would not be able to worship or believe in God. Our memories are linked to parts of our brain. If we have souls shouldn't that be the place to store memories since thats all we have? or does God wipe our memories after we die?
