i don't. i cannot love something i don't believe in.

but i know that ppl that do, love him because he represents a "father" figure. someone in their life that they can lay all their problems and concerns to. someone that will be there to listen in their times of need..

nice fantasy.
to each their own i suppose.

I love Him because He gives me a chance to live even after I die. He gives me peace when I feel like I can't get any. He loves me no matter who has let me down. With Him I never ever feel alone. When I am at my darkest moment I know that He is there to listen when no one else will. Most of all I love Him because I look at all the things people do to feel special, wanted, alive, and they can't get enough action. I know that God satisfies all those needs. I don't feel like I have to go out drinking and sleeping with the world. I don't need to backstab or steal to get ahead. I don't need to gossip to feel special. I don't need to climb everest and spend thousands of dollars to feel like I'm living. I'm satisfied the way I live now, nice and quiet. When I don something fun and exciting, it's not because I have something to prove, it's just because I want to. God loves me the way I am. I love that about Him. God bless!

This is a beautiful planet and a wonderful body and mind to experience it in. Not only is the planet itself gorgeous and teeming with life, but just the fact that it IS a planet -- it's kind of romantic to live forever falling toward a mellow yellow fusion furnace.

Why shouldn't I love whoever put me in this situation?

Like you I grew up in a home that loved Him, so it was natural that I would love Him too. But in the end it was my choice not their's. I love God b/c he is perfect, he will never stop loving me, and He will never let me down. I love God b/c of his sacrifice. I love him for so many reasons. He has blessed me so.

I just do. That's like asking a baby why it loves it's daddy. The baby doesn't understand the whole "dad is providing for his future"...he just knows that he loves his daddy and likes pleasing him. Probably the same kind of programing.

Because he made the one I love and made all good in the world. Without God there would be no life, no pleasure!

Because He first love me. He loved me when I was not ready to love Him back yet. He loved me when I was living in sin and not seeking His face. He loved me enough to send His Son to die in my place so that He could have a relationship with me. I love Him because He set me free from a life of misery in homosexuality!

I don't - I'm agnostic. But I believe that people love God because they need to believe there is a n ultimate being.. someone who eternally watches over them, and their loved ones.
