If I were to waste my time praying and spoke all of these, what would happen?

I was not born in a Christian environment, and I did not become a Christian until after I got out of high school. Yet so many people on here assume I believe because I was raised to believe.

I've also heard people say that faith "surpasses understanding", which I think means the same thing as "beyond reason". Either way, I'm stumped as to what these expressions mean. Please enlighten me.

What primarily differentiates wicca from paganism and other religions that are viewed as being in the same genre? Does wicca actually involve spell-casting, conjuring, etc?

Note -- If I sound ignorant on this issue, its because I am. I'm asking this question because I'm curious and I'd appreciate serious answers from practioners or those with accurate knowledge ONLY.

Here is my definition of life:

Life is a sexually transmitted disease that affects some worse than others.

So considering we are all just a bunch of talking STDs, what can you expect?

Do you agree with my definition of life or have any other definitions of life?

(Not the meaning of life and don’t post if you don’t know what a joke is)

I am talking about skulls, bones of family members, objects used by his followers, archeological real physical evidence, backed by science...I do not count the bible as a scientific source of information by the way, it is a source of faith (something different).

Example Jonh 1:1
The New World Translation of the Jehovah's Witnesses says: "…and the Word was a god," contrary to all other translations I have ever seen. Their officials say that this translation is justified because in the original Greek the word "God" is without the article. It is without the article, but it is clear that this is not their real reason, because verses 6, 12, and 13, of the same first chapter of John contain similar usages of the word "God," all without the article. The Witnesses have translated all of these correctly with a capital "G" and without inserting "a". The only instances I have found in which they translate "God" with a small "g" are when "God" refers to Christ. It is certainly not done consistently whenever the Greek word "God" lacks the article. (See the examples in John 3:21, 8:54, 9:16, 9:33). In the case of John 1:1-3, to avoid a translation that correctly identifies Christ as God, the New World Translation ends up attributing the creation of all things to "a god!" www.chick.com/reading/books/135/135_06.asp

#1. Many of the Christians that I know do not believe that the Old Testament is no longer viable, but they also do not believe that Christians "Must" obey the "10 Commandments" or the "Ceremonial Law".

#2 The Christians that I spoke of above believe that the "10 Commandments" are exhibited in the New Testament under different guises. (The Fruit of the Spirit, and Submission to God, and Recieving the Holy Spirit).

They say love your brother but in a question asked on here people with other religion and beliefs got the thumbs down for stating their opinion about a christian matter. I got a thumbs down for asking questions like Why do bad things happen to good people? So would that be considered hypocritical?

I am constantly at odds and struggle with my faith and spirituality in regards to my marriage, my sexual desires and the realities facing society. I am very reserved about many of my feelings and notice that I stuggle with doing what I want and what is traditionally seen as "wrong". For example, I love sex but I like it with a BDSM flavor to it, but it is highly at odds with my catholic upbrining. I just don't feel "right" following my religious beliefs at all times, but at the same time I feel very alone in my sexual desires.

Am I totally jacked-up?
