God started all those languages. He's multi-lingual.

Genesis 11:9
Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

There are people that are monolingual. If God is omniscient and created all these languages originally at the tower of babel, then why wouldn't he be able to understand them? Besides, since when does God ever listen to what we say. He cares more about what we think and the state of our heart.

If God made EVERYTHING in the heavens and on the earth then certainly He would know languages. But He also knows the prayer of the heart which transcends all languages. God has no language barriers.

God is not of the human realm as we are. His understanding and knowledge is far more than we will ever know. Praying is not a waste of time, it is a very powerful thing.

To some extent, you could say he created or originated those languages. He did confuse languages at Babel!

But although I know it drives atheists crazy the real answer is God is powerful and wise enough to do anything.

A prayer that comes from the head is for show. A prayer that comes from the heart is in a universal language.

Communication in the spirit realm is through direct perception. You think a thought and it is translated to the other. They don't "hear" it with physical ears ... they receive it through direct perception. Such is with God. Language is not used, thoughts are perceived.

He can understand all of them because he created them all, if you were to pray in all these languages he would listen to every one. (but i don't understand how you could pray in all those languages at once).nothing special would happen though.

God, like you and me, is telepathic. Without telepathy, language would be meaningless. Have you ever known what someone 'meant', regardless of the words they used?

Are you asking whether or not only one person can pray at a time?
