This comes from a lack of respect for others opinions. Atheists forget that they haven't proven their point conclusively aether. They need as much faith to believe that God doesn't exist as you need to believe in God. Atheism is a religion because it requires you to take the central premise on faith. Ask any of them to prove that God doesn't exist and you will probably get a flip answer or be ridiculed for not agreeing with them. They were brainwashed into believing what they believe too.

no. I know that not all are born in that environment. I was raised taht way and don't anymore and am totally against religion. On the other hand, I see how much comfort these beliefs have given people. And yes, I knew christians that converted in older years... and good for them.. What I don't like is that as soon as someone is 'converted' I then become the sinner that needs help and I lose a friend.. to me that is sad.. .I only have 2 christian friends and religion in never ever discussed and they are very open minded

Brain washed or not, it seems that Christians at least have a purpose in their lives. So what if they follow blindly? So what if they are compelled to shamelessly embarrass themselves? So what if they give up there lives and the "world" to a persecuted faith? It seems, more often than not, that the average Christian is devoted to good things (kindness, humility, helping the poor, and the like). Compared to some ways of life that the rest of us choose on our own, I'd say these brainwashed folks do more right than we ever could. I guess it's just hard for me to believe that people with free minds-free, innocent, unspoiled, uncontrolled, perfectly human minds-can't reason together enough to do what's best for eachother instead of what's best for ourselves. At the very least a human mind should be capable of understanding compassion, selflessness, and generosity- all the ingredients for humans to co-exist with one another. But then again, maybe it's not so perfect on it's own. Maybe our minds are a little more tainted than we'd like to think. Please, somebody brainwash me.

...This Christian brainwashed? No.
...This Christian blood-washed, most certainly - washed in the Blood of the Lamb.
...I became a Christian at age 21 - I had attended church off and on for years, and didn't believe on Christ until age 21.
...Atheists, Christians, and all people are sinners and in need of the Savior - Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. Acts 16:31
...Whosoever will, may come.

I was brought up in a Christian home but, was not brain washed because, I rebelled against my parents and God. If I were brainwashed I would have feared him. I am now a christian but, it's because, I had a hole in my heart that I couldn't fill and now I have God in the place that was missing. I do get tired of hearing people complain because, I don't push my faith onto them. If they want to talk about the Lord, I will discuss it. People know I'm a Christian but, I'm human and not perfect. I didn't become a Christian because, I was brain washed I became one because, I needed God in my life and I wanted to go to heaven when my time on earth is through.

There are obviously many stereotypes of Atheists, Muslims, and many other groups from Christians as well. Again, don't let it get to you. Playing the victim is not going to stop either side, and it just shows you lack any empathy to look around and see that you are not the only one being persecuted. There will be mean people in any group.

They just want to put you down and make you feel bad because they probably feel bad. Maybe they wish they were born into a christian family. You never know but I do get tired of that and I hate it when they call the bible a fairy tale.

Yes. I also hate the stereotype that Athiests (or non-Christians) are evil immoral people. I can assure you, that is simply not true either. Religion doesn't make people good, actions do.
Religion/No-religion is a personal choice.
If it WERE brainwashing, I would not be Agnostic. Seeing how I was raised to be Catholic/ It just did not stick.

We do brainwash children. All parents do. Through repetition, we brainwash them into following a path that we hope will lead them to being a contributor to society and not a sponge. Imagine what a child, left to their own devices, would grow up to be?

I'm Christain and proud of it!!! you know people will always say what they think and sometimes it's not nice and alot of the time not true, but they don't know. All that matters is that you have faith in the Lord, everyday will be a battle, pray for the people who hurt you that maybe one day they will find Jesus Christ in their life everyone has time and everyone has a different path and purpose, and rememeber there's only one judge let him do all the work. God bless.
The Greatest Man in History is Jesus. He had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!
