I am talking about skulls, bones of family members, objects used by his followers, archeological real physical evidence, backed by science...I do not count the bible as a scientific source of information by the way, it is a source of faith (something different).

yes, there is evidence he existed...but there is NO evidence that he was the son of God (and no the Bible does not count as evidence). There are plenty of historically accurate documents that make reference to Jesus the man, enough for us to say with certainty that he existed.

Hi Allan,

Physical evidence? No. But archeological evidence, absolutely! There are several references to a man named Jesus from Nazareth who had a following of people that believed him to be the Son of God. As mentioned earlier, Josephus is one (there was much more than one sentence!) and there are a couple of other historians from the first century that mention Jesus as well as James (his half-brother and apostle) who was martyred.
Think about this: there is more evidence that Jesus lived 2000 years ago than there is evidence that you live today. And how much evidence will there be about your life in 2000 years? Probably not much if any.
God Bless you on your search!

Oh yes! There is! BUT FIRST, I need to tel you, that, you don't need proof. I was exactly like you when i was starting to become a christian. I was, like, Is god even real? I mean, there's no proof or anything, its just something in ur mind. Then someone said there was the bible, then i still thought, but anyone could have written the bible!
But then, I went to church, and christian clubs, and I LEARNED MORE about God. Then I didn't CARE about signs, and what a glorious feeling!
Back to the one before, yes, there is physical proof...
1. They found an old chariot wheel (rotten) in the red sea. EVERY SINGLE scientist agree 100% it was from when moses parted the red sea, and the egyptians on the chariots..and you know what happens in that story.
2. Also, I dont really emember this one, but in a museum in Germany, there are two pallet stones with writting on it (in hebrew or sumthing) that says something interesting and backs up the proof of god. Or something like that. Every scientists agree that it was true.

There is no direct physical evidence that he existed, no. There is a high probability that someone that the Jesus character in the bible is based on, historically speaking... but nobody could honestly tell you with 100% certainty that he actually did exist, much less that he did and said most of what the bible claims he did.

Like the fanatics say....."there is lots of evidence". But in reality, there is not a shred to find anywhere. The Shroud of Turin is a fraud. It is said to be a drawing of a crucified body on a piece of cloth. There may have been a Jesus, but proving it is impossible. That is why belief in religion is called "faith". It is a belief that is not based on proof.

yep tombs , historical mentions , the arm bone of Mary magnelene is still floating round somewhere cast in silver and there is a tomb of Joseph of Arimnthea in Britain ( who was James ) also see the writings of the jewish historian Flavius Jospheus , further to this read the community scroll ( Dead Sea Scroll) it oulines a governing council of 12 community elders governed by a high priest ( being Christ and his apostles) , hiowever the concepts were part of the Essence community long before Christ , What is refered to in Christianity as the Eucharist is all so outline in this scroll and this is where the take eat this is my body etc. comes from

EDIT: Evidence he was the son of God- not necessary the term son of God was a title bestowed by the Jewish on all the Desponyi ( those of davidic Heritage ) .
The question to ask therefore is not whether Christ was the Son of God but whether David was given the right to rule by God

No.

Really -- there is none.
Have a nice day.

Note to "nicholas" -- the only reference to jesus outside the biblical writings and apocrypha is in a history of the jews written by Josephus, a jew who was also a Roman citizen. Most scholars (and even many RELIGIOUS scholars) don't consider this ONE SENTENCE reliable -- the copies of Josephus' writings that have survived conflict, some have it and some don't. That means there's a good chance the reference to jesus was added later by some well-meaning scribe who thought Josephus *should* have mentioned jesus :)
There are NO other mentions of him in any other historical documents.
Odd, isn't it, that the Romans -- who kept meticulous records of EVERYTHING they did, made no mention of executing this guy under Pontius Pilate who claimed to be the king of the jews? Yet they didn't...hmm...and yes, records of Pilate's rule from that time *do* exist. No jesus.

no. not really. the Josephus mentionings of Jesus was added much later so is a fraud. Pliny made mention of Christians in 112 AD but not of Jesus himself, only of the way in which Christians worshiped.

some logic you might consider...

History. It's inconceivable that during the alleged time of Jesus no one bothered to write down anything about this most extraordinary person, yet we have nothing. Even the earliest Bible reference to Jesus dates to at least A.D. 64, and the first Gospel, the Gospel of Mark, dates to at least A.D. 70 (and probably to A.D. 170).

Comparative Religion shows that the story of Jesus already existed in numerous religions prior to the alleged time of Jesus. Chrishna, Horus, Orpheus, Bacchus, Osiris, Dionysus, Buddha, Apollo, Hercules, Adonis, Ormuzd, Mithras, Indra, Œdipus, Quetzalcoatle, etc. The motif of a Crucified Savior was already extant prior to the alleged time of Jesus.

Solar Mythology shows the story of Jesus is just an allegory for the sun passing through the Zodiac and the passage of the seasons of the year. Jesus travels throughout his one year ministry, and the description of his travels exactly match that of the sun traveling through the Zodiac during the year. Here we have the origin of the Jesus story. This common origin explains why all the stories of crucified saviors are essentially the same

however, it's my personal belief that a man named Yeshua probably existed as most myths have basis in true life events but there is no hard evidence.

I dont know about scienctific facts.. But it is written in Quran (the holy book of muslims) that Jesus (pbuh) existed. For me Quran is a true scientific book as well coz out of 100% the information written in Quran about 80% has been proved to be a established fact. Rest of 20% is ambigous so my logic says when something is 80% right and 20% is ambigous i would accpet that as well as right.

"Behold!" the Angel said, "God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near to God. He shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and shall be of the righteous." She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?" He said: "Even so; God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing, He says to it, "Be!" and it is" (Quran 3:42-47)

Yes.
Go to Jerusalem.
The walls of the Old City are destroyed, just as He prophesied.

There's also a wonderful monthly periodical:
"BIBLICAL ARCHEOLOGY REVIEW."

You might also check out the writings of Josephus Flavius, a Roman Historian from Israel during the time of Jesus.
