Seriously, "saved" people, isn't there something a little off with that?

I guess what I'm saying is that actions speak louder than words. Some people say God bless you but are so naive of the situation in third world countries.

Which would mean that even if we do something which is considered wrong by people on earth, its actually happening by the consent of God?

What do you think about some of the verses in the Old Testament, especially Deuteronomy and Leviticus, being violent and derogatory to women? I don't have anything against Christianity because it's no longer a fundamentalist faith, it has been secular for 200 years, and it generally brings out the best in people nowadays...Do you agree that it has moved on ahead of these verses a very long time ago, and that they pertain to the ancient world of the Old Testament?

Truth is that snow melts on warm concrete.

Truth is that the relationship of positive and negative is give and take.

Truth is that rain tends to fall.

Truth is that the rich are that way because they do not spend irratically or on impulse.

Truth is that life occurs in the present tense.

Everyone needs to hope in something. Christians hope in an eternal Life with Jesus and other Religions have similiar hopes in there God / s. But what do atheists hope for, is it something that science can prove is real. That would leave few options because most of what science can prove is really just theory. Anything else they might hope for will end with them at their death. A wise saying says that "God's way leads to endless hope, Man's way leads to a hopeless end."

If you thought that didn't make sense, that's what I thought too!! But it's there somewhere isn't it? Jesus freakin' out that he was about to die? Or was it one of those dreams again...

The Fall of Lucifer sure sounds like the War of the Titans. Eve being tempted with a snake sounds an awful lot like Pandora's Box, doesn't it? Why does the Garden of Eden remind me of The Garden of the Hesperides?

So in the bible, to lust is a sin. Is having a girlfriend to date someone to have a loving relationship with another human is it a sin? To kiss another person?

Why do so many people that claim to be Christians have hearts and minds so full of hate?

Is it because most of them are blindly following what they've been told without actually READING the scriptures?

I see Christians all the time bashing gays, people of other religions, people who think differently than they do.

It seems like to me that if you're going to call yourself a Christian, which by the way the definition of "Christian" is to be Christ-like in doctrine and belief, that you wouldn't be so closed minded and treat other people like crap just because they don't think like you do. Thousands of people who were once believers leave the church every year because the people around them are intolerent, closed-minded, ignorant and self-rightious.

I think Jesus would be very disappointed if not pissed off over the way some of his so-called followers act nowadays.

What d'ya think?

Is that why Muslim men have to ablute (purificational wash) for prayer if they are touched by a woman? CAIRO GUIDE, the American University in Cairo's famous tourist handbook, says a woman shouldn't embarass a man by making him shake hands with her, since he will have to ablute again. Is this true?

I live in a neighborhood with more than a few latter day saints, I am Catholic, they do not know me or my religion, they shun me and my family, my religion teaches me to accept and love all, Mormons have very little to stand on theologically and are officially not accepted by the vast majority of organized religion as Christians because of heresay, the book of Mormon is pretty hard to accept for most people however I do not hate mormons and I do try to be civil with them and could even be friends, they typically are un socialable and keep to their own, I can tell you that a Mormon can walk into any Catholic church they would like, however I am prohibited from entering their temple, this speaks volumes of their intolerance of others.

LaVey claimed that nuts were given "the bum's rush" when trying to join the Church of Satan, but clearly nut was in the eye of the beholder. LaVey has admited to holding a "Cannibal feast" of a human leg in at least 3 books. The Satanic Bible &Satanic Rituals certainly describe many things most normal people would consider pychotic such as Nude girl is used as an altar (Satanic Bible, Satanic Rituals)A human skull is used in Die Elektrischen Vorspiele ritual (Satanic Rituals, p. 109)Human leg bone or arm bone is used in Homage to Tchort ritual (p.137)
Woman dressed as nun urinates before group into a bedpan in the Black Mass ritual (p.43) Urine is then sprinkled like holy water (p.44)Man climbs into coffin with nude woman (or nude man if he is gay) in Le Epais ritual (p.59).

All this stuff sounds like things psychotics would do.

Also consider Richard "The Night Stalker" Ramirez and Susan "Manson Family" Atkins were also CoS members, and it makes ya wonder, don't it now?

So.....I'm Muslim (go ahead, I can take it). I know what I am and what I believe and what I stand for and what my religion teaches and I don't need to get the approval of anyone, nor do I feel the need to defend myself or my religion.

That being said, why do people (of all religions) get so upset when their beliefs are ridiculed or criticized. Who really cares what critics think?? You won't change their opinion so why engage in senseless and often hostile debate...makes no sense!!!

I don't think that Allah/God needs me to defend him.

A few of you will have noticed there is someone here who's only intent is to spread hatred for Islam. My question is this - when you find a question that does that, have you considered clicking on the asker and checking their previous questions? And if you have, have you reported them? Insh'Allah you will take the advice and we can make this Yahoo Answers a place where all questions are tolerated except those who spread hatred. Surely the point of Yahoo is to have questions answered so that one can grow, learn, get advice, etc? Surely it is not a soapbox for Hate mongers?.. Salaam to all - Muslim and Christian alike. May Allah bless you all.
